PZL 104 wilga 2000 Draco

Postby helijah » Thu Jun 04, 2020 7:47 am

Good morning, everyone.

In response to a request on Second Life, I present to you the Draco. An impressive STOL able to land and take off on a few meters (I advise you to watch the few videos on Youtube :) )

After extensive research it seems that this model does not yet exist on other simulators. It is therefore a real exclusivity for FLightGear.

"Mike Patey put a PT6A-28 680 shaft horsepower Turbine engine and 102” four bladed prop on the front of the last Wilga ever built. With an empty weight of 2400 lbs, Mike can be off the ground in about 120 feet, pitch to 30 degrees and maintain a climb of 4,000 feet per minute"

Modifications carried out in collaboration with EADS, it must be acknowledged that the result was very successful Unfortunately it crashed in 2019 without casualties fortunately.

Have a nice flight.

Nice!

EDIT:
I had a chance to try it and I feel the FDM certainly captured the STOL characteristics!

And yes. I readily admit that I may have been a bit violent on the STOL capabilities, but this FDM is only the first test. I even had to place a pistion engine because when I put the turboprop the FDM is not working yet :(
