Diamond DA40, FGUK edition

On the other hand I would not place the FG1000. I wanted to create a basic version of the DA40 and this is what it is :


Can be a sub-version with the ZKV1000 which respects the XML standards. To see.

I will like to see basic version panel, as i am bit old style pilot.

To be more precise the Diamond Da 40 (Yasim) available on FGAddon now uses both types of dashboard.

An entry in the "Diamond Da 40" menu allows you to switch from the classic version to the Glass cockpit version with a simple click.

Helijah - now that I've fixed the XML tags for the FG1000, would you be interested in an FG1000 version of this? The FG1000 is a lot more advanced than the zvk1000 and much more closely matches the Garmin G1000 in terms of function, particularly on the MFD.

Concerning the dual control I never used it being alone flying at home. So if you could check that I didn't do anything stupid. This is the Da40 development. If you tell me that everything works, I'll put it on FGAddon right away.

P.S. You may have noticed it, but the change of the dashboard is kept at the exit of FG. If you leave FG with the Glass cockpit you will restart with the Glass cockpit automatically .... The same goes for the little surprise

Well, it's been more than 10 days since I proposed a test version, but no news from Stuart... I hope he's okay.

I've just put the version on FGAddon and on my site. Too bad if the Dual boot doesn't work. I can't test it.

Apologies for the delay in responding - too many things going on both RL and FG related. Lockdown hasn't made things quieter for me!

Flew the da40ng u build,love it ,the free casting nose gear is really realistic,however,I have problems engaging autopilot on all three versions (MacBook air,haven’t tested on windows/Linux)

Hi Anna!

The autopilot wasn't working because I hadn't properly implemented it. I have now added Sascha's great KAP140, so expect the autopilot (in the conventional panel variant) to be working as per POH after the next update

I also fixed the broken heading indicator while at it.

The FG1000 variant uses the GFC700, a different autopilot. This doesn't work yet, unfortunately, but I will look into it some time.
