@Stuart, I've noticed a trend with many FGUK helicopters that the collective power far exceeds the tail rotors ability to correct. There is a large range of collective leftover that can never be used as it completely overpowers the rotors ability to compensate. Even in the range where you have enough power to start to lift off the required rotor input is to the max to keep it straight. Once some forward speed is achieved then that lessens to some extent.

Any suggestions or ideas why that is on my devices?

The 430 requires very little Tail input at takeoff. I just tested it to make sure, just in case something slipped into the release and I did'nt notice.
On a Hover take off, I can increase to max collective, And there is a very slight rotation to the right with the torque ( you need forward speed to operate at full collective so the Vstabs compensate ).
As my Instructor said, the only choppers that don't run out of pedal are the Robinson R series. At some point every other chopper will.
If you are not spooling the engines up to 100% operating power though, your generally going to have a bad day with it.

I think your Yaw input from your sticks/pedals must not be getting full travel. No FGUK choppers require near full pedal on take off ( they all require different degrees of pedal, but never 100% ). I spend a lot of time just taking off and hovering them to get the input levels within realistic values for each chopper. I test fly with Flight controls, not general joystick configurations. Theres a huge difference in control sensitivity between joystick makes sadly, which makes tuning helicopters difficult to get something thats good for everyone.

OK. I figured it out. I didn't realize "autostart" was only achieving ground idle. Once I figured out the power lever (MMB) it all came together.
Nice, thanks.

Always helps to read the aircraft Help, lol.
The Autostart on the real 430 only brings the engines up to ground Idle, so I replicated that in this one.

Do laptop users just have to takeoff with engines at idle then? :P

Hi,
I recently tried flying with this helicopter, but I crash before I leave the ground, no matter how I push the pedals. Other aircraft such as S-76 and AS350 are working, only Bell 430 isn't taking off. Why?
Best regards,
Mars.

Do you have the engine power all the way up?
Check the engine instruments, you can increase the engine power by pressing "n".

It only autostarts to ground idle power, You need to manually increase engine power to 100% before flight. Please read the Aircraft HELP section in the sim.
