NewsDude... please always state your issue... else we need to guess that's missing

I assume you want to get the PFD to show up...
1st: you need to put the ADIRS into NAV, not into ATT mode.
2nd: You need to start alignment from the mcdu

sorry, I should have been more clear. Yes, I'm trying to get the PFD to show up (specifically the attitude and heading displays). I now have the ADIRS set to NAV, but I don't know how to start the alignment from the MCDU. Is there a video I could watch, or a walk-through I could read on how to use the MCDU in FlightGear for the A330?

Edit: never mind. I found this video which helped me out: https://youtu.be/R66q_10dwKw

Check Airbus_A330/Resources/A33X-Notes. A procedures checklist is there. Don't do the tasks with the tags "TOH." That was for the other, older A330.

Maybe this aircraft could do. It is based on the IDG-A33X: https://github.com/JMaverick16/Airbus_A330

"Pro" tip: Remember to remove the "-master" from the end of he folder name after unpacking the Zip file. Otherwise you will end up with a yellow glider with blue wings and a lot of other broken stuff.

I don't know if anyone still maintains this repository, but I can help with developing high-quality liveries. I can upscale the paintkit and use it to develop liveries at a relatively constant rate.
I have a repo of some of the liveries I made, if you wan to check:

I don't think this aircraft is compatible with 2020.3.12. After I take off, I get an error message saying "the FDM is invalid" and then FG crashes. The aircraft works on 2020.4 nightly which is a flawed and unstable version.

Can you please show a screenshot of the exact error message you get? There should not be any problem with compatibility with 2020.3.12 and we haven't got any other reports of this?

Also this aircraft is currently unmaintained and effectively abandoned but if there's an issue it can probably be fixed.

I get this message right after I take off from the runway every time I fly the A330. This for all the A330 versions.

I found FG2020.4.0 to be really stable, the most stable I've used after i did the SimGear mod.

I had the same problem with the B777. Leave the ground, get to 200 feet, and FG crashes!
Then there was the problem with the Citation-X from the Patten hangar. Couldn't even get to the runway before a crash.
Sometimes I couldn't even launch the aircraft without a fail.

All that is now history. I use a compiled 2020.4.0 version with the SimGear patch on Ubuntu 18.04.

What OS are you using?

My other aircraft is a Citation-X https://github.com/SurferTim/CitationX

I use Windows 11. The graphics cards and RAM exceed the minimum requirements easily and should not be an issue.

Okay, have you tried other aircraft?
My problem was the glass (canvas) panel. Ended up being a multi-thread challenge. Have you tried it using a single thread setting? Frame rate will probably be slow, but it shouldn't crash if that was the problem.

Edit: This should set single thread. Under "Additional Settings", put this
Code: Select all
--prop:/sim/rendering/multithreading-mode=SingleThreaded

I use my config file to set threading. I use multiple displays.

If that solved your crashing, then here is where you are in the troubleshooting I did with the help of others who actually knew what they are doing. Maybe it will help you.
