Thats (this time really) a feature, not a bug.

From your description it sounds like the display effect is a bit too much (could you provide screenshots?) so maybe it needs some tuning.

For the dust on the screens... once I finally get to implement the maintenance stuff, you'll be able to clean the displays or disable it completely.

Simulated dust on screens ... . This level of realism is shocking me. :D

Sorry, I'm to dumb to post screenshots here.
But, yes when the sun shines from particular angles into the cockpit, it seems to be too much color and there is only little difference between some colors (FD, horizontal "pitch lines", etc. are almost unreadable).
Every time the sunlight changes, I need to adjust brightness a lot.

I'm searching the commits on legoboy's github site because I really, really need the route manager for quickly loading and changing transitions, STARs and RNAV approaches when I'm en route.
I apologize for the next question: But when was the route manager removed and when were the displays changed? Or could you guys give me a link to the very last commit with "old" displays and with still working route manager.

Thank you.

EDIT: Just found it.

Hey what's up guys,
Unfortunately, the A320-family does not have the top of climb/descent markings on the ND. It doesn't have managed climb/descent either. Hopefully it gets developed soon.:) However, this A320neo does: https://github.com/artix75/A320neo. A little info about this A320neo. I believe it was developed by Narendran Muraleedharan who is a long time Flightgear developer and he has really cool A330 along with the A320neo. This a320neo isn't as realistic as the IDG A32X or the A320 Family but it is a good aircraft nonetheless and features a managed climb/descent as well. :) Hope this was helpful.

That will come as well...
Tho no time frame to when these things will come... for neither the TOC/TOD nor the managed CLB/DES.

Hello, I'm currently working with another group that's making an a320 neo for fs2020 and I I was wondering if I can use the sounds from this plane.

As long as you comply with the terms of the GPL2 License you can do that.

(From what I read while looking into the new sim after the initial intriguing videos/hype)

Any distributed software made for using with the new sim will have to agree with the license terms (i.e. rights) that Microsoft itself is under first?.
Two companies brought up parts of the commercial rights to the old fs-x. The company that ended up with the entertainment side tired to hash together new version of 64 bit fs-x but gave up. The new Microsoft sim is just made by a game studio with an openworld renderer using technologies first developed by them for a post-apocalyptic game called Fuel that is then plugged into a modified fs-x [1] (possibly /forked/ at the point the previous company gave up as the 2020 sim still had the same commercial game-cloud plugin and the original fs-x code wasn't even 64 bit). Microsoft brought back rights wrt. derivative products to the entertainment side - the owning company didn't give up fs-x, and fs-x addon revenue, rights. The non-entertainment side is different fs-x based sim owned by LM which can't be used for personal entertainment. Quick google search: link.

You'll need to find out what the legal situation is with the new sim first, as any 3rd party resources you use will need a compatible license (a lot of copy-left licenses are 'share-and-share-alike' and expect the similar rights to be returned as given).

Kind regards
vnts

If https://github.com/flybywiresim/a32nx is your project then you're nearly there because you're already opensource - but the next step is that all of the contributors need to licence their work under the GPL V2 (or later) and then you can use anything from this A320 - or anything else from FlightGear.

If you do not licence your work under the GPL V2 or later then you cannot use anything from this A320.

This is correct.
