Flightgear source code terminates in GLExtension.cpp

Postby sathish » Mon Sep 24, 2018 11:00 am

I have downloaded flightgear 2017.3.1 source code and OSG 3.4.0 version and compiled it on ubuntu 16.04 OS....but i am not able to run the source code because it is coming out while loading splash screen itself stating
Break @ address "0x1dc4d41" with no debug information available, or outside of program code.
at extensionSet.insert() function in GLExtension.cpp file.

IDE : Eclipse oxygen

ie, when the code is trying to access the below line it is terminating..
osg::isGLExtensionOrVersionSupported (contextID=0, extension=0x1dc4e2c,"GL_ARB_shader_objects");
I have downloaded OSG, SG and FG from the respective repository with the compatible version of flightgear 2017.3.1 (as mentioned in the flightgear forum)and i am not changing the OSG code. I just included OSG and SG code as the part of flightgear project and trying to build all together and i dont want to use QT so i removed QT related files . so when i am trying to run the code it is terminating saying segmentation fault at extensionSet.insert() at extension.cpp file.

Below are the links for the reference snaps ... xS2lIXGSMa (debugged info) ... WZkLOrq5SL (console output) ... pm_COhoKAV (code termination point)

Note: I am able to run the fgfs exe and can able to fly keeping in ufo aircraft....only with source code is the problem

Plz suggest some ideas to solve this issue/........

i thought we were already discussing this in your original topic??? viewtopic.php?f=45&t=34711

this is the Aircraft support area and this topic is better off over in Compiling where it was originally... see link above...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

Hurray! we solved this issue......Thank God

Runtime Dynamic Library Loading Function (dlfcn) was the issue. dlsym() was not able to find the library.

We fixed it.........
