Blender 2.8 - Internal Renderer removed

Postby legoboyvdlp » Thu Aug 16, 2018 1:32 pm

Hi,
The upcoming Blender 2.8 has seemingly removed the Internal Renderer. As far as I know the AC3D converter is able to translate those materials to AC3D format - however, does it support Cycles, and in the new 2.8, EEVEE? I am fairly sure that it doesn't support cycles fully; therefore all aircraft development may need to be in 2.7.9 - or else, all the materials will need to be edited by hand.

If perhaps the people acquainted with the AC3D converter could reply and specify whether the converter will work with the new Blender version?

Most likely it wont work at all with 2.8 Blender. Have not looked deeply into it yet, but I suspect it requires quite some coding to adapt it to 2.8.
There has been so many changes to 2.8 that I think the plugin will probably choke on it.

When 2.8 gets released, I will look into it.
