Beaver (wheels) directional gyro problem

Postby dilbert » Thu Jul 12, 2018 11:32 am

At start with wet compass reading 185, directional gyro reads 248. Knob only rotates gyro clockwise. It hangs at 69, so can't set to 185. Oddly enough, it comes up automatically reset to wet compass after a FG "Reset", eliminating the need to use the knob. Best Regards

how are you rotating the knob?

many times, left click rotates in one direction and center click rotates the other way... sometimes you can click and hold and then move the mouse to turn the knob... sometimes you hover over the knob and roll the center scroll wheel... it varies from craft to craft...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

Clicked on the left and right arrows. but gyro only traveled one direction. Will try mouse wheel
on desktop to see if it will turn counter clockwise. Had been flying on laptop sans mouse wheel.
Thanks.

P.S. Sorry the bother. Worked fine on desktop with left button held down, mouse moved it either way. Don't know why it only moved only one direction on laptop, though was using mouse pad and left button. Machine was my old Celeron..

Thanks again for the help. Best Regards. :)
