You would need to use the TerraGear tool to regenerate the airport layout.

http://wiki.flightgear.org/TerraGear
http://wiki.flightgear.org/Using_Terragear
http://wiki.flightgear.org/TerraGear_CORINE

You will need to save the airport as an apt.dat layout. Be advised, we only support 850 fully - I believe an update to apt.dat 1000 may come sometime, but not anytime soon. However, I believe there may be a method to manually convert taxi routes to our format... but I have no idea how.

Somebody told his FG 2018.1.1 RC launcher use 20% CPU doing nothing.

I loaded it up, and can confirm that.

He also said that the uninstaller crash if the remove aircraft option is turned on.

Would post it to mailing-list but since its semi-down, no use.

could it be the launcher is enumerating the craft in the local hanger and checking them online in their originating hanger to see if there are any updates? there is no visible indicator that this type of updating work is being done...

"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

I ran 2018.1.1 on my Mac, running the standard Cessna, the simulator made me go in circles and I couldn't take off. I'm just wondering what that could mean?

it means that you need to apply right rudder to counteract the twist of the engine (aka p-factor)... it is the rotation of the engine that's making your craft go left... if the engine spun the other way, you'd be going off to the right and need to apply left rudder to steer straight... this is normal and common in propeller driven craft... i'm not sure, but i suspect the problem would be about the same in dual prop craft that have both engines spinning in the same direction... i wold guess that the problem is pretty much non-existent in dual prop craft that have their engines spinning in opposite directions...

I did notice that I suddenly jerked to the left on a grass runway with the 172 after releasing the brakes... however, I need to reproduce and see if it actually a bug or not. It could have been a very strong wind from the right combined with p-factor!!

I've been flying for a while and I always use the rudder, however the effect seemed very strong this time.

ok, i wasn't sure and it is a common thing for folks new to the simulator to complain about the smaller craft being driven right when they're trying to go straight...

what airport were you at?
what were the weather conditions? METAR?

On Debian 9.4 the "Aircraft" pane of the launcher is empty, despite the fact that I have an aircraft hangar selected. However, I was able to start up in the C172P.
