AC3D - work vanished

Postby daveculp » Fri Dec 08, 2017 11:27 pm

I'm using AC3D version 8.0.80 under linux, and since I installed this new version of AC3D my work has a habit of vanishing, apparently gone to bit heaven. Does anyone else have this problem?

Probably the last person to ask this because I know little about Linux OS file structure and such: But, could it be that AC3D is saving them away to an unexpected or possibly hidden folder? Does Linux AC3D have some default settings that need adjusting?

P.S. have you asked at their forum? http://www.inivis.com/forum/ Seems like a pretty serious flaw for a payware 3D suite, and should have someone there who knows if there is a fix.

1- Check if you have ownership of the directory you are trying to save to
2- See if it works correctly when you run with the su command (superuser)
3- Look for logs, if any
4- Ask on the AC3D form, if they have one, or customer support.
