True.

But I don't care about that right now, there is much more important work to be done, such as working on the new Canvas PFD:

Right. To make it fully clear:

ALL A320 and A330 liveries on the IDG-A32X and IDG-A33X will be DELETED next year Q2 (tentative). We will then implement the upscaling and change the 3D model, after which new liveries can be made (with a livery system, but more info on that later). Now, please stop making liveries, as it is a complete waste of time. And yes, this has been said earlier. For any questions, please contact me.

Thanks,

Charlie (Wecsje)
IDG

PS: this has been cross-posted with both livery and aircraft threads, discussion on the livery thread please!

It's honestly a waste of time for the A33X as we have said. I think a better use of your time would be for you to make liveries for other aircraft, like the Boeing 757-200, 777, 747-400, A380-omega / A380, CRJ700-family, Cessna 208, E-jet-family etc ;)

ATTENTION

A33X Painkit will be upscaled this weekend... once this happens, I will let you know, and liveries can be remade. Note: IDG will not allow any smaller resolution liveries. These will be removed if found.

Maybe not removed but moved into a sperate directory for those that need to be redone like what you did with the 727-200 (which reminds I need to do the other PSA livery...)?

Not in the aircraft's folder, there are too many for that.... OK fine, I will put them in a folder and put that folder on github, so anyone can download them, recreate it, and submit a pull request (unless using FGMEMBERS)

Note: Changes in FGMEMBERS which we don't agree to will cause FGM to no longer be a synced repo, meaning that we will not merge to/from FGM. Pull request of individual commits are needed, and see our CONTRIBUTING.md file.

Josh

Question: Are you planning on eventually including the A330neo in this package?

We are not sure. When we get enough information to decide if the A330neo is close enough to the "old" A330, then we will decide.

I've added Thorsten H's new A320 cockpit to the A330, it actually fits perfectly! This will remain until the A320 VC Overhaul is 100% complete, then Thorsten has stated he will start on the A330 VC. While it is an A320, it uses my A330 overhead, and uses the A330 instruments. We needed this however, since it keeps commonality between the 2 planes to a minimum, meaning less time to port changes.

Josh

I don't see how that is related to the development of this plane....

There are many differences. Do you own research please. This topic is for DEVELOPMENT OF THE IDG-A33X!

IMPORTANT

In order to bring more clarity, organization, and less cluttering, we will from now on change some things in the way bugs/questions are reported/asked, enhancements/bugfixes made by others are handled, and how we provide what we are working on at the moment.

From now on:

- All bug reports MUST be submitted via the issue tracker on github: https://github.com/it0uchpods/IDG-A33X/issues. Please use the provided issue format, if not, the issue will be closed and marked as invalid right away. Also, please check if your issue has not already been reported (only open issues).

- All questions related to the aircraft MUST be submitted via the issue tracker aswell, these will be labeled as "help wanted"/"question" by me. No format has to be followed for this. Questions related to installing (simple questions), may be asked here on the forum.

- All contributions to the project MUST be submitted by a pull request (ie: fork, make changes, then make a pull request). This INCLUDES liveries. This has to be done via the provided format aswell, the pull request will be closed and marked as invalid right away if you don't. FGmembers will NOT be merged anymore.

If you want to see what we are currently working on, head over to the "projects" page, and take a look.

Repo link: https://github.com/it0uchpods/IDG-A33X (PLEASE remember the only up-to-date and tested version of the aircraft can be found here)

What does this mean for this forum thread? This thread will be used to announce new features/updates, and used for handling simple questions, like how to install this aircraft.

Regards,

Charlie (Wecsje)

It's easy to see the differences between an A330 / A320: The A320 / A330 EFIS panel (to the left and right of the CPT / FO PFD ;)) are different, and there is only one landing light switch on the A330!

Is it just me or does the logo lights don't work?
(Ps. If someone already answered this question, I am new.)
