@uvindu330
It will by V1.0. I do not quite have yet the SVG editing skills needle for that, but I'm getting better at it everytime. I already found a good image to trace.

@omega13a
It won't end in disaster, because only stupid pilots would push the nose down hard.... lol But the bouncing is simulated.

We need liveries, so maybe you want access to the dev version? The first ones needing remake is FED (FedEx) and MCD (McDonnell Douglas), as those are the default liveries.

Kind Regards,
Josh

Okay. I just need the paint kit if it is different than the already existing one.

@omega13a
No. Its not. Then you should PM JMaverick16 with the finished image, and he will add the correct XML.

@D-ECHO
Thank you. Its hard work, but it pays off. (but we love it :D)

I just majorly improved the Canvas EAD: See the new "rolling" digits. Thanks to Richard for helping to get the clipping working!

So would it be possible to get something like this:

(see altitude on MCP)
with Canvas?

I don't think its smart to use Canvas for a small thing like that, the same can be achieved with a 3D object. (A drum with the texture on it, rotated, and the bounce controlled by nasal)

@omega13a: Thanks for offering livery works ;) . Would you mind coming in Slack so you can keep track of the latest improvements made to it and also a better way to contact for sharing liveries etc.?
If yes, please send me your e-mail address via PM and I'll send you an invite to the dev team.
Cheers, Mav

Gents, getting closer to public.

Electrical is 40% done now, once that's done, I can make engine start system, then we can have a public version. Other things which changes this last few days:

*AFS much more realistic
*JSBsim now much better
*Overhead getting makeover
*MD-10Family Addon is in testing phase (requires MD-11Family)
*Modify and improve sounds
*Some other shit :D
*FADEC and Thrust Limits overhauled

PLEASE NOTE: I will NOT be sending flight controls over MP as of right now. There are simply too many properties:
4x Elevator (Outer and Inner each side)
4x Aileron (Outer and Inner each side)
10x Spoiler (5 each wing)
2x Rudder (Upper and Lower)

This equals 18, out of 19 floats I have available. I am experimenting with a workaround for this, involving "fake" engines, as engine stuff when not nil, is sent over MP.

I do, however, send slats over MP. (And Flaps are by default)
Also, gear rotation, compression, and tilt is sent as well.

Kind Regards,
Josh

Yes it is. It is still in private alpha development, and we hope to make it public soon. We are however working hard on another thing at the moment, and so the go public release might take a bit longer.

To elaborate, MD-11 is on the back burner until next week, putting the finishing touches on something else.

I do have an electrical system mostly complete for it, I want to get it done before release, also, I'm in school, which reduces my time.

Please have your patience. It takes a while to make a plane from scratch. I've selected a few people to test it already, and once I feel that it's ready for public release, then I will do so.

Kind Regards,
Josh

Re: IDG MD-11X Professional Development

Postby Octal450 » Sat Sep 30, 2017 4:16 am

Hi everyone
To give you some update, the MD-11X is not dead! (we are at 102 commits already, mostly FDM refinements recently) We are simply working slower, due to the major Airbus overhaul I just had to do, and finishing up something on final approach (stay tuned)...

We also have an MD-10X Addon for the MD-11X which should be public shortly after the MD-11X.

I assure you that work is still going on and I can't wait to share the latest improvements to you, and finally get it public!

Here is an autoland for you to enjoy:

Sorry for bad quality.

It didn't land completely. Its nose is still in the air. ;)

BTW, what airport is that? It looks familiar.

As far as I remember the autopilot disconnects at touchdown, and you have to push the nose down manually ;)
