Correct. Rollout mode will be added much later.

I needed to keep the gif filesize down, so only.too that part.

That explains it. I use KSFO for the screen shots of my liveries which is why I was so certain I've seen that Southwest jet before.

Hi,
Work as restarted on the MD-11X, and my regular 3 way development plans are back in effect: A32X | A33X | MD-11X

We are aiming to get the MD-11X into your hands sometime very soon, standby for information.

I'm almost done with the electrical system, then I can make the APU Bleed simulation (basic pneumatic), and get the engine start working. That will be enough to public. The FDM is pretty good, still needs some minor tweaking, but is about a 4 star right now.

Kind Regards,
Josh

HI all
The MD-11X electrical is finally almost ready. It is much more complicated than the Airbus electrical, that is for sure.

Working using the schematic and my FCOM, I've finally got it almost fully working. I hope to finally get the MD-11X into your hands soon!

Kind Regards,
Josh

I've finally put the last bugfixes on the MD-11 Electrical system, and it's working just perfectly!

All buttons are clickable and perform complex system actions, except the IDG Disconnects, and the Smoke Elec/Air switch. When the electric system is in automatic mode, it configures itself!

Next, pneumatic, and engine start, then I'll get her public.

Josh

It's come to my attention that the freighter version of the MD-11 has a different overhead... only slightly, but a few buttons, and a few lights are different. I will be modelling the passenger overhead panel first, once that is complete, I will add the freighter version. The changes are not major, so the aircraft will be still operating realistically during this time.

Kind Regards,
Josh

Attention pilots!

I am looking for 2-3 additional test pilots for the MD-11X. If you are interested, please send me a PM here on the forums. First come, first serve.

Hi everyone
We are nearing the release. I've almost finished the Pneumatic system, then I'll do the engine start, then she is ready. While there is a decent amount of complexity in the currently modelled systems, it is not at the same level as the Airbii (Airbus') yet. ;)

The Fuel system isn't modeled yet, so the Aux Tanks are not usable, and the left wing, right wing, and center tanks only pump their respective engine. I will do the fuel system after the release, but she is flyable already for a lot of flights. In addition, there has been no work on the MCDU yet, and do not expect it anytime soon.

The Autopilot is fully working, and will be able to perform full autolands with rollout, just like the A3XX, and manual startup will be fully possible.

Hope to get you guys flying this bird very soon!

Kind Regards,
Josh

When its released, will it be alright to start making liveries for it or is a new model with a different image map expected down the road?

@omega13a

It will possibly be upscaled, but we are not sure about that yet. We will let you know before the aircraft is released. It will however be following the same livery system as the other IDG planes (means they need to be submitted via pull request). We are very happy that you are making these great liveries!

Given the problems I had with making the jetBlue liveries at 1024x1024 (hard to read the small text when zoomed in), I think 2048x2048 should be the minimum allowed.
