Thanks guys!

Now we have LSAS overspeed protection is AFS is off or unavailable (like in this gif, i slapped the OVRD switches down to kill AFS/ATS speed protection)
basic logic:
- engages only if AP is off
- speed target varies based on throttle positon
- uses speed rate for control to prevent endless pitching up to stupid attitudes
- engages if ATS protection is unable to correct the situation, or ATS is unavailable
- takes the place of AFS speed on pitch overspeed protection as AP will not come on its own, fd bars will stIll show FCC guidance unless AFS OVRD is off (like in the gif, then speed protection from AFS is non functional)
- pilot can defeat it by pushing the yoke hard, the LSAS inputs as usual are summed to the pilots inputs
- pilot can increase the recovery rate by pulling back further, as LSAS is only able to use 5 degrees of elevator
- LSAS resumes normal Pitch attitude hold/pitch rate damping mode after recovering from overspeed.
- LSAS does not protect slat/flap/gear overspeeds!
- LSAS does not protect against Vmin/Vstall like this, there is alpha based protection that I'll model later.
Obviously its more complex than this but thats the summary. See FCOM for details, its modelled as per that.

2 examples in this gif.

What a complex flight control system this plane has, but its been good fun to model!

Josh

Well I don't know how either because you didn't show me anything related to it. IRS switch position, did you let it align during manual start? did you force the aircraft to move (even though brakes fully locked) during panel state loading?

Alot. Most of the time I wasn't working lol.

I fixed the CRTs looking stupid at night.
Daytime:

Nighttime:

Its a slow fade inbetween based on the amount of light (red) in the sim. That way it looks more proper. CRTs are not backlit, so as the surrounding light gets darker, the black gets more blacker. The LCD IESI will not have this, the FMS's will as they are CRTs.

Also removed the rating indication of the PW EAD, someone told me it should be there a while back... but looking at real pictures its not. So idk ...

Josh

It only works in my dev version, i'm working (slowly) on the MCDU system. But I have other things to done first.

Hmm, that's actually an interesting point. What runway did you use? Perhaps I made an error.

Reproduced.
Seems the airplane being pointed so far downward means when jsbsim "fast-starts" the engines it is enough to override the braking force... making IRS align no work.

OK FINE, I just set the engine thrust by a factor of 0 if autoconfig is running to fix it... lol. Better than using slow start for panel states.
Fixed as of 1006.

Thanks mr epic chicken! Another pilot reported that the IRS went away for him but we couldn't figure out why.

Kind Regards,
Josh

yeah, but I modelled the breaks realistically, not overpowered like some planes.

Added bug parking for speed and altitude, will add for heading later
Image

Also I fixed the thrust ratings above the rated temps, now the thrust you get is reduced properly. its not 100% spot on but its fairly close. I'll continue to refine it in the future.

Simulated brake system hydraulics
about 10 apply/releases with full accumilator pressures + no other hyd
rate of breaking apply/release falls drastically under 750psi

This indicator now displays proper info
all thou the 3D needs some tweaking, ill improve it later

Now the center main gear brakes actually work properly, and all the hydraulic brake system calculations have been updated to include them.
