Added the rising runway symbol. He will go up with the AGL decreasing until it touches the bottom of the "airplane symbol"

In addition, the LOC diamond will blink amber if the deviation is greater than 1/4 dot under 300ft AGL in LOC or ALIGN AFS modes
The G/S diamond will blink amber if the deviation is greater than 1 dot between 100 and 500ft AGL in G/S AFS mode

Kind Regards,
Josh

Quick demo of the updated IT-AUTOFLIGHT Flare Law... No longer does it shallow out too soon between 100 and 50ft when the Glideslope data becomes unusable, flare curve begins at 50ft only, and the curve is now better calculated for less "floating" behavior and a more better touchdown
Everything is automated in this landing except thrust reverse

Josh

LOC capture will no longer increase intercept angle on shallow intercept to ILS.
the localizer capture is smart and only captures once the control loop is trying to decrease the intercept angle.

This change is also in the 4.0.7 IT-AUTOFLIGHT Core also so the other planes like A320, MD-80 will get this change also prior to the 4.0.7.

Josh

At the request of some people, I am add the Engine Start in a 2D Panel using my Canvas GUI system
Can operate it here instead of the VC if you prefer.

How are you supposed to use ils with this aircraft because the mcdu doesn't work for me and I'm always using the most up to date version and the radio tab won't work so how are you supposed to use ils if you can't put in the freq anywhere

Then you are probably not following the proper procedure, last I tested it worked.

won't work

Bro, what am I supposed to do with that info? Can you tell me what it does, so that I can maybe tell you either - what is wrong, or what maybe I need to go fix? If you just tell me, "won't work", how can I help you? Please try to understand that I can't help unless you tell me what is happening.

Kind Regards,
Josh

I have a problem with the FGAddon MD-11, but it is because i use multiple displays in my FG setup. The canvas panels have a thread problem.

I tried it with FG2020.3.3 (no thread patch) and it crashes to a desktop as soon as the cockpit appears.
Using FG2020.4.0 with the thread patch, it seems to work fine at 30 frames/second.

Just FYI for those with multiple monitors.

Edit: I just noticed your signature has the A320 in it. That also has the same problem with multiple monitors. The thread patch fixed it also.

When I set up my multiple monitors a couple years ago, I tried several aircraft, but I couldn't get them to run.
Now, after this patch, I'm going back to check those aircraft that failed. I have yet to find one that fails.

This thead is not related to the FGAddon MD-11. This is an entirely rewritten from scratch aircraft compared to that one, the only similarities are the visuals. It will be added to the FGAddon later replacing the old one.

So please test this on the latest aircraft from git. https://github.com/Octal450/MD-11

I should also point the thread patch should be fixed in the latest 2020.3 that is out also, 2020.3.3 is pretty old.

It wasn't fixed in FG2020.4.0. I had to do a custom build.

Edit: The patch is in SimGear. Hooray convinced me to try this SimGear patch for the Citation.
If from the start, one must use the download_and_compile.sh script twice. Once to get the SimGear code, then edit a file, and run the script again.
The thread containing the fix is in Canvas.

The issue really isn't aircraft specific, it involves any aircraft/feature using vector graphics implemented via Shiva (Canvas.Path), including simple GUI dialogs (map-canvas.xml).
I also wouldn't call it a "fix" yet - we still have to get more feedback from people testing what else is showing up/affected.
