Wow. I never noticed that.

Looking forward to some extra detailing when your modeller cangetaround to it.
Control surfaces, fuel filler caps, the wing walkway etc.

No pressure... :-)

Wingspan, Wingarea, and Chord were wrong too - doesn't really matter because of how I calculate my coefficients, but I decide to fix it, so went thru aerodynamics and remultiplied all coefficients with now correct values.

I put the Radio for NAV1 inplace of the broken DME since people were complaining.
When I can get the GPS working (might be a while be patient) at least enough for radios then I'll find the correct DME and put it.

So pls don't complain any more longer

Hi!
I've started working on the gps some months ago. So far, the com and nav's buttons work (and correctly sets COM1 and NAV1) , as well as the freq's and vor display, and have some buggy MapCanvas functionality.
You can check my fork here: https://github.com/bartacruz/IDG-PA28

By the way, any reason you used /sim/sounde instead of /sim/sounds or its just a typo?

Hi,
I wish you had contacted us before starting the work so that it could conform to our IntegratedSystems programming standard that we are using now. So I'll have to get back to you when I have time for this plane regarding the adjustments. Good work though.

Yes. sounde is on purpose but probably going to change all the custom sounds soon anyways to a better handler.

Kind Regards,
Josh

Well, it all started with a "I wonder if I could make it work"...

Now that I know how to do it, I can adapt it to any programming standard. ¿Any pointers?

Ahh, thought so.
If I can help in any way, please let me know.

Really love this plane!

Hi,
Well, when I get my next time to work in this plane, I will adapt your work into the standard, and then you can work from there?

Thanks for compliments. If you best to communicate please join our discord (link in signature) that is where the developers are usually communicating.

Kind Regards,
Josh

I just updated from git and took it out for a spin, lots of improvements since I flew it last. I'm beginning to really like this aircraft. Do you have a reference picture that your basing the default interior on? If so I would really like to see it.

Hi wlbragg
Nope! But when I saw the white I thought it looked really sexy.

I am glad you like it!

Hallo!

I just took the PA28 180hp version for a short flight.
First of all: really, really, really great work. Once it is in the air it flies so nicely. It's the total opposite of the strange over-sensitive default C172.

Once it is in the air ...
On the ground sometimes it acts strange. Sometimes it seems to be stuck on the ground and doesn't move, or on some take off runs it turns left and rudder/nose wheel fully to the right doesn't have any effect. (It's definitely not caused due to the propeller effects, wind has been turned off or was max. 3kts).

I'm looking forward to your help.
CU.

Hi,
Glad you like it!

I will revisit the ground reactions and see what I can do. Keep in mind that full may not be the correct thing and JSB seems to not always grip as good at large deflections.

Kind Regards,
Josh

Hallo!

Just to clarify:
The "stuck on the ground-problem": Today I couldn't reproduce it. But yesterday it happened several times. The plane didn't move just as the parking brake was on (but which wasn't).

My "pulling to the left with almost no escape-problem": It can be reproduced easily. Brakes - full throttle - release brakes. The plane starts immediately pulling to the left because of the effects the propeller produces (in my last post I said the opposite, lol I'm dumb   ). To stop it from going left, I instinctively "step" fully into the right rudder. But almost nothing happens and the plane continues to the left until there is enough aerodynamic effect on the rudder.

I'm completely your opinion that a highly deflected nose gear at greater speeds doesn't have much grip.
But to me it seems to loose grip very early at low speeds. When full power is set even at 5kts or below there is almost no effect. It also seems to be intensified by the automatically centering nose gear.

Anyways, flying the plane is great fun.

Hi,
Please if you could make issue reports here: https://github.com/Octal450/IDG-PA28/issues/new

Then to make sure I don't forgot. :)
