New instruments in panel:

Image
* Amp indicator bounces and jitters around like the real one does
* EGT now works
* Fuel Pressure, Oil Pressure, Oil Temperature now work right
* Fixed lighting on radio stack
* Almost every instrument has been reworked in both the HSI and DG panels.
* Textured fuel selector with red so it shows up properly
* Fixed prop and spinner shape wrong
* New landing light lens by TheAlexP
* Fixed Mixture and Throttle control to make engine behave more realistic
* Some gauges now require electric power
* Add label to avionics switch

Kind Regards,
Josh

This is one I wouldn't mind contributing to if I can ever free up some time. I like what you have already done to this point. Hope you can keep it going.

Thanks Wayne.

I'd be happy for any contributions :)

The next plans are to refine the FDM further, improve the panel, and I would like to Model the S-TEC 55X A/P since that is what the plane I fly real life has, and have access to tons of information about it. I would need a 3D model of though, I was considering using that to learn 3D, but I don't think I have the time with school starting back up now.

Kind Regards,
Josh

Hi miguel,
Oops! You are right, I forgot to add a new DME instrument. Next revision will fix this, likely later today.

EDIT: Added a new DME indicator, and fixed cockpit lighting.

Best Regards,
Josh

I would love to help with that one too. Even if it was with the cockpit as I lack 3D and modeling skills. I would love to do cockpits. But I don’t know anything about it.

As for the piper of yours, I flew it before and O just gonna get her on a flight now, before doing some work.

Hi there. I cannot do 3D barely either, but am trying to learn. I would be happy for any contributions! Perhaps you can consider joining the FlightGear discord?

Hope you enjoy the plane

Well I am a web developer, so I do know xml and JavaScript as well as PHP and HTML/CSS. Hence the cockpit stuff. :-) I have modded for emergency 3 a while back which also included XML.

Let me get on the computer and I see you in Discord.

Awesome. I'm refining the FDM almost after every real life flight I do :D

Also continuing work on the S-TEC 55X.

Great to see some active development on this beautiful aircraft.
Heh... I like it a lot and that even though my favorite for years has been the Mooney Bravo (M20). lol

I have taken the plane to a small test run and I have to say that the FDM appears to be a bit smoother now and in general it seems to be easier to fly it.

There is one small issue, I keep having with this aircraft, ever since I got it: I start at my home airport SVMI. To the north is water, but to the south, west and east, there is the Avila - a high mountain chain that tops some 6000 feet or more at its peek points. Usually, if you take off from runway 10, and keep flying eastwards, you get sufficient time to climb at a secure altitude, in order to make it safely over the mountains - of course you could just fly north a a couple of minutest and bypass the mountains completely, as it is done in real life.

My point is however, that if I want to go to Caracas Metropolitano or to Higuerote, I do have to cross those mountains, as there is no way to get around them. The C172 as well as the 182 don't seem to have an issue with this and even the old C150 can do the climp with the bigger engine at full power (though there is a significant increase in oil temperature). The Warrior always crashes into the mountains. I have to fly north or circle for quite some time to get her at the required FL, even with the strong engine it takes quite some time. The issue today when testing did seem to be quite a bit better, but it still keeps being an issue. However, I have not flown the Warrior in RL, so I can't tell if it is common behavior or not.. I did get past the mountains in a C150, C172 and C182 though in RL.

Cheers
Ben
