Where is the hook position in the property tree ?

Postby mhab » Wed Jul 05, 2017 8:01 pm

Is it possible to find the hook position of a carrier enabled aircraft somewhere in the property tree ?

e.g. The F14 yasim fdm definition has the exact position of the hook.

I would need this info during runtime in the property tree.
If it is not there, what can I do to retrieve this info on Nasal level ?

Thanks for any advice

hello

in the f14, the property which define the position of the hook is in the model defintion (because to animate the hook of the model, you have to know its exact position) : Models/f-14b.xml
<property>gear/tailhook/position-norm</property>

this property seem to have been added in the property tree

you can see its value if you launch flightgear and choose the f-14
once launched, hit the / key to browse the property tree
