Don't use jpg for texts, this will cause ugly edges. In Gimp: Layer->Transparency->Remove Alpha Channel

The JPG was not for the text, the text is OSGtext.

The texture behind it was a PNG, now a JPG, it's very better.

The easiest way to remove a transparency layer using Gimp is Image->Flatten Image.
