RC Aircraft w/JSBSim Model

Postby aleksey » Sun Jan 15, 2017 6:31 pm

Hello everyone!

I'm looking for an RC model (electric) which uses a JSBSim model. The closest thing that I have been able to find so far was a "Rascal" aircraft in the hangar, but it is hooked to a YASim model. I was hoping to find something with the JSBSim model which I can use as a baseline to grow into a custom aircraft.

Appreciate any direction on where to look - thanks in advance!

I think I actually just answered my own question. The "Rascal" R/C model in the FlightGear hangar comes with both a JSBSim model and a YASim - just had to dig through the folder a bit more to find it :)

There is also the ATI Resolution3 which I recently added. It is a 92" blended body flying wing ... about 10 lbs all up weight. The sim performance is maybe a tiny bit optimistic relative to the real aircraft, but performance is actually pretty close overall. It is (however) built on the YASim fdm engine.
