Hi Jonathan,

After a 2 year break from FG I picked up on the A32X and started out with a short hop from EDDK to EDDF 07R.
Came in at 5000 Ft. caught ILS on 110.95 -> LOC -> APPR - OP.DES changed to G/S and I came in smooth as a buttercup. Excellent!
BTW all nav data came from a Navigraph cycle with elaborate SID/STAR planning.

Things that I noticed during this first flight:
Frame-spacing during the final landing phase stayed above 35ms with a near steady frame-rate of 45~50. (Good)
No aural indication of V2 and rotate. (both programmed in the MCDU)
During the final landing phase (aural 50 40 30 etc.) cross aural warnings -> too low, flaps.
APPR can't be disengaged. Would be nice to have for aborted landings.

Keep it up.
Frans

I think the vr and v2 are not called out synthetically but by the flight crew, since v1 is the cutoff point for an RTO, it makes sense to call it out automatically at exactly the right time :)

Had you flaps full extended?

It should be disengagable, @it0uchpods, can you check that?

Regards,
Jonathan

Edit: correction - v1 is seemingly not called out synthetically on the A320, so that should be removed (and possibly replaced with a human recorded sound?)

Hello dutchman,
Glad you enjoy the bus!

Lego is correct, only V1 is called by the system. If you don't mind hearing my voice, I could add other callouts :D The V1 callout was added later as an option by Airbus, and I decided to include it for convenience.

I do not know why too low flaps was called, I didn't experience this. If it happens again, please open an issue here with reproducible instructions so I can try to track it down

Like the real bus, for an aborted landing, just select another mode. For example, you can pull HDG knob to hold current heading, and then pull ALT knob to OP CLB back to go around altitude (should be set in FCU after glideslope capture). Another options is to set power to TOGA. The bus will automatically engage HDG and SRS up to FCU altitude.

Kind Regards,
Josh

Fine plane(s). But only surprises why contrails shine in night

Hello,

There was some information in the area I marked with red rectangle in the panel, before taking off and close to landing.

Kind regards.

Yes, that is expected.

If there is any blue there you are not correctly configured for takeoff / landing, if it is all green then you are correctly configured.

It will only appear two minutes after engine start or at 1500 feet on final approach (if I remember right)

I tried to wait for extra minutes, to start both manual and automatic, but I failed again.

IIRC Josh has disabled it (the complete ECAM logic) cause of some not-yet-ready stuff that got merged...

Hmm, I didn't intend to disable that part, just the memo stuff. The whole thing probably got disabled by accident... I'll check it.

EDIT: There is a bug in the ECAM system causing MSG to always be active internally. I've corrected this for now, and lego will sort the actual showing logic later.
