@berkut
Your liveries should work in this plane

A320 one my favorites, so it's also a great day for me!

Just note: it's not flyable just yet. But I aim to have it fully flyable by the 12th latest.

Glad to help :D

A320 style IAE ECAM Upper part finished, still missing a few minor things, flap indicator, and warnings/messages.

[Out of date pictures removed]

I also fixed the autospeedbrake, the disarm and retract by only pressing CTRL+B once after they deploy, they work for RTO, and Landings. Same functionality as in my A340s. (ported from there also the Airbus Thrust system, etc.)

Other than that, I fixed the fuel tank feed issues, and JWOCKY and I should be able to sort out the FDM soon enough.

Latest pushed to GIT. (link in first post)

Best,
Josh

That looks nice indeed. For the MCDU piece, Gijs has some general-purpose code of mine which should handle any CDU/FMS in a modular way - hopefully he can share this in the near future. You will need to customise some pages of course, especially the performance and weight pages, for each aircraft type.

Anyway good luck!

@zakalawe
Thanks!

I have been working on an MCDU framework for the last 4 monthes, and I'll probably use that, since I'm more familier with it, rather than learning something new. But that's a nice thing to fall back on if I can't use mine for whatever reason (it was designed around the MD-80 FMS for my MD-88, so it needs changes alot)

@others
The aircraft is still unflyable. We are working on the FDMs, and I will update this thread when it is flyable.

I also simulated engine-light up with the EGT. (ex: when engine gets fuel, EGT rises rather fast to around 600ish C, then comes back down to about 400C as the engine reaches idle)
N2 light up is too slow, will be fixed.

Very much have been anticipating this rework of the original Airbus series! Shaping up nicely and thank-you so much for your generous contributions!

Well there is a problem there - I own some MCP hardware from GoFlight, and am planning to buy some CDU hardware. In order for this hardware to work with different aircraft, I need the corresponding code & properties to be somewhat standard. Probably at the level I will define some custom commands for the CDU inputs, and then you can catch those commands in your CDU implementation and drive your custom code?

I am planning to define a new /autopilot/mcp property tree and then make patches to the existing aircraft (777, 757, etc) to use those properties instead of the current ad-hoc ones. I expect the same will work for the CDU; /autopilot/cdu[0]/ would be the Captain's CDU, with properties for brightness and the Canvas display's path.

OK,
My CDU will not be Canvas based, I do not know enough about Canvas yet to do that.

I am using OSGtext and Nasal.

What type of properties do you need? Currently I use:

/fms/display/l1/l2/l3/l4/l5/l6 Left lines
/fms/display/c1/c2/c3/c4/c5/c6 Center lines
/fms/display/r1/r2/r3/r4/r5/r6 Right lines

The buttons do a nasal script:
var page = getprop("/fms/display/page");
fms.lbutton(page,1); Soft keys on the left
fms.rbutton(page,1); Soft keys on the right

The characters right to a property /fms/input/keypad

This is all subject to change *without* notice.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
The A320-200 is now ready to fly! The FDM has been much improved by JWOCKY, and myself, and she flies nice. There is no FBW yet, and there might still be FDM glitches. The A319-200 and A321-200 will follow suit soon, and I will note here when they are flyable.

IT-AUTOFLIGHT has been fully enabled, except for autoland.
Flaps/slats separated, flaps 1 is flaps and slats if kts below 100, flaps 1 is slats only above 100kts. That won't change as airspeed increases/decreases, it only changes when the flaps are changed.
MCP is finished! (except FPA, since ITAF doesn't have that... yet...)

I will be adding the Flaps indicator to the ECAM as soon as possible, it is quite difficult to animate, but I'm making progress.

And BIG thanks to JWOCKY for teaching me tons about JSBsim, and for doing most of the FDM work!

Download link same as in first post!

Best regards,
Josh
