Please no more complaining about no landings lights working Airbus and you don't know how to fix! This will help you:

If anyone wants to test autoland and low visibility approaches you can fly between Belfast and Glasgow... Currently thick fog over much of Northern Ireland and Scotland! Just remember Belfast is limited to 350m RVR as far as I know (for a CAT II) and it is currently 375m on runway 25

Many times landed at EGLL with Concorde in almost zero visibility. Everytime I had very bad feeling in that conditions.
Fly high, fly fast - fly Concorde !

I'm quite experienced on this I think, thanks to the famous smog of Beijing

The good thing is, the situation is getting much better now as the government is working really hard to protect our air quality. Unlike in 2016 or 2017, in most days we get fresh air and beautiful blue sky now :D

Kind regards,
Sidi

Just autolanded in the windy city itself, Wellington, NZ. 26kt crosswind component (was that even allowed?), 200ft cloud ceiling (definitely not allowed on the ILS approach!). It absolutely nailed the touchdown! Sadly, the rollout didn't work too well; had to grab the stick to keep it on the tarmac after the nosewheel landed, although I'm wondering if that was just because of the extremity of the crosswind.

Thanks guys, absolutely awesome job! :D

Just one question - I have no flap speed indication or minimum speed stripes on the airspeed indicator. Is this because I haven't fiddled with the flight computer before takeoff? I tend to just hit Autostart then go...

Hi,
Glad you like it.

This is due to a JSB nose wheel mistake, as soon as we implement our 2018.3.1 fixes and make it the minimum version this should be fixed.

The flap minimums aren't in the programming yet, sorry.

Kind Regards,
Josh

It depends... on ILS Cat I it's not allowed but you could land with ILS Cat III with RVR of 0

That would be Cat IIIc, which while technically possible has never been attempted in real life and would result in the closure of a runway due to the impossibility of taxiing :P

Generally, 100 metres is the minimum, although it varies from airport to airport and can been seen at the bottom of the approach plates to be sure.

Hello friends flying IAE engined varients

I have designed a new custom EPR calculation code, the EPR curves now are MUCH closer to real aircraft, and will give you better indication of engine performance.

With coming new year!
I nevertheless decided to describe this problem here because long suffered with it.
When I wanted in dialogue Adjust LOD ranges increase LOD bare and LOD rough FG crash with error
Code: Select all
127.32 [ALRT]:nasal      Finished setting up tile type METAR in direction 4
127.32 [ALRT]:nasal      Cloud placement from array finished!
  128.36 [ALRT]:nasal      Processing add-cloud calls finished!
Segmentation fault

BUT It did not occur when I increased the LOD Detailed parameter.
Then change other plane and everything turned out without mistake.
Mistakes are shown in packages IDG-330 and IDG-320 and i have latest revisions 8)
Check pls.

Probably you ran out of memory... Can you reproduce this in the IDG aircraft? Can you confirm it never happens in any other aircraft and it always happens in the IDG aircraft?

How many GB of RAM do you have?

That second aircraft looks to be "other" than IDG, Question was, does it ever happen in other aircraft besides IDG?
It looks as if it does which sends you in a different direction.
It definitely looks like a memory limitation and has to do with the LOD system and not so much the aircraft, although the more sophisticated aircraft, the more memory it will consume.
