That's right, just the two old wingtip fences had over 2K tris for no reason.

One possibility is extensive use of subsurf on the old model. My model of a doughnut scene has over 220K vertices --> almost entirely due to the subsurf.

But I'm certainly glad that you have corrected it :)

Yes. I am quite certain subsurf was used for the wingtip fences, antennas and flap fairings. Bad decision.

Hi pilots,
I lied, I never decided to push FDM branch.

Here is a list of what changed, now, available in master:
* Brand new FCS with proper control deflection amounts
* Integrated Aileron-Trim into aileron FBW
* Overhauled Rudder Axis and control
* Elevators limited to 20degrees up after 75kts
* Overhauled Pitch Trim, now has it's own aerodynamics, now has proper units, now has proper trimming system
* Corrected many inaccuracies in flight controls
* Moved hydraulic controls except spoilers to JSBsim FCS
* Yaw Damper only in Normal or Alternate law
* Minor tweaking
* Fixed Lower ECAM showing -0.0 DN sometimes, instead of 0.0 UP
* Fixed Pedestal Trim wheel scale
* And more

Also, a bug has been found by merspieler in the LNAV Predictive turning, I will fix it shortly, so probably by the time most of you read this post, it is fixed.

Kind Regards,
Josh

Now, added:
* Rudder limiter
* Proper rudder trimming
* Speedbrakes limited to 1/2 with AP on (autoland autospoiler excluded)

With this, the new FCS is finished. I not moving the spoilers to JSB yet, maybe the next time I do work on them.

Kind Regards,
Josh

Why is the auto coordination being turned off in the latest versions of this plane?

I ended taking off from the grass and then I could barely control the plane properly when I noticed that the rudder was not working anymore because of this.
For people who use the mouse and have no joystick or pedals the auto coordination is pretty useful even if it's not perfect.
I can easily turn it back on by removing those lines at the end of the libraries.nas but maybe other users don't know how to do that.

That would be me...

I guess I will turn away from this sim again. Cause I'm more and more disappointed . Take a look at other Flight sims,you might learn something. :(

This is FlightGear, we are not a company, we do not need customers to keep the sim alive. It's all become possible because passionate people invested their spare time in creating this together. Our goal is not to compete with other (pay- or freeware) flight simulators, our goal is to create a simulation that behaves as realistic as possible (and beyond) with a free philosophy. Want something different? Start learning how you can modify it and make it better for yourself, or even better, for the community. Don't like it? Go ahead and spend $$$ on software that fulfills your needs, but please, keep your negative energy away from the people who spend so much spare time to improve FlightGear.

Threatening that you will leave if X or Y doesn't get solved is completely useless and only results in upsetting people who do a lot of voluntary efforts to share their personal improvements with the community.

I don't consider myself a developer, but I 've learned that just shouting "I don't like this, change it!!!!" doesn't solve anything. Instead, it 's much more satisfying to try and find a possible solution, so that you or someone with the abilities to change it can change it. In the mean time, it 's just fun to discover how to make e.g. a small xml modification, or your first mini nasal script and use that knowledge to the benefit of many.

The goal of this model is as realistic as possible, right?
So, it's a good decision to turn off the auto coordination as the real one doesn't have that thing....

I agree with @BEL ISAAK
Why don't you guys edit the xml file?

BTW, you can also use keyboard for the rudder and it works really nice for me.

Best Regards,
Christogratia I. Simbolon

Edit:
It's your own choice to leave this sim or not. As I and I believe the others that try to develop this sim don't really care with your choice :)
If you find CHRIS22 on multiplayer map, then you're lucky 'coz I really really seldom to fly online :)
