Thanks for the explanation.

I took a closer look at the sound sample and its 0.026 seconds in length. I suppose the flightgear wav loader could be buggy or a wav sample of that length is invalid (not likely), but it does seem to load into Audacity and play just fine.

I suppose Flightgear shouldnt be crashing in this case. My flightgear version is 2016.4.4 on debian stretch linux.

OK Thanks,
I'll fill it with nothing until we can figure out why the F*** it thinks the gear is up when is down. :D

Blame Pinto for this:

Anyway the previous system was pointless since the introduction of the EFB in all the planes.

Project is still alive, we had some delays due to other priorities but it keeps going ;) .

"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

Bonus points if you make it occur randomly to ANY screen, even PFD or ND! And of course, make it toggleable in menu ("restore screens") :)

yeah, that's alright... the first thing we do around these parts is to blow winwhatever, if it exists at all, off the drive quite unceremoniously... then we load a proper *nix/*bsd on it and go from there

There was a kind of radar map before which wasn't fitting at best the OPRF requirements (and wasn't working great tbh) so we removed it and added that.
Kinda joke you know, because Pinto asked if that could be fixed, so we decided to remove it instead and place a BSOD till we rebuild the radars in canvas.

@lego: Ahahah Keep calm and you have been hacked by Pinto. Lol
That could be a nice implemention in case a kind of jamming system would be added by OPRF.

I don't think you can jam static displays....
