NOTE: In CFM versions, the EPR stays XX'ed out. This is normal behavior, as CFM/GE engines do not have an EPR parameter.

But, CFM engines on Airbus A320 has an EPR parameter.

Ehmm... I'm sorry. You're right. The CFM engines don't have EPR parameter. My bad

Progress on the project is slowly restarting, in the last few days new ITAF autopilot versions have been installed and both tankers got an improvement to their 3D, more to come in short time (hopefully).

The new autopilot version should fix the LNAV waypoint transition stupid thing... More improvements to the LNAV will come along shortly.

Thanks,

OK UPDATE TIME:

http://prntscr.com/exoosj

The new WL/PSAS Control dialog
WING LVL engages the WING LVL system
CWS is active all the time, providing PITCH augmentation, but it's much much improved, and flies alot more natural. You'll never realize it's on until you hear it trimming for you ;)
Activating MAN PITCH mode will disable this system and give manual Elevator back to the pilot, this will illuminate the MASTER CAUTION light, as and Pitch Degree Pitch Rate protection, and stability augmentation is no longer available.(edited)
Now that I've modelled the engine parameters correctly, without stability augmentation, the pitch can be difficult, especially during approach, when winds are acting up.
It's been active for a while, but less noticable.
Now it's full authority, and very smooth.
I've flown many ILS and Visual approaches now, and it still feels very natural :)
This is the most advanced 707 in the world.
On approach to the default 2017.1.2 airport manual approach, with PSAS on, following the ITAF FD on the HUD :)

http://prntscr.com/exooua

One trick: Do not chase the FD, smoothly try to follow it, but don't chase it. Due to the nature of PID-Controllers they will expect perfection and drift to nudge you to adjust.

http://prntscr.com/exoova

The next autopilot build will feature the option to go into FLARE mode even if the AP is off -- this will be on the KCs, and will guide your through the flare if that's more your style :)
I'm very excited about this new technology, and I can't wait to show it off to you very soon!

FAQ:
Q: PSAS is crashing my plane!!!!
A: Open Leveller/Pitch Stab settings from KC-137R menu, push MAN PITCH

Now note your IAS, attitude, altitude, flap setting
Now go DEBUG --> Property Browser
go to it-fbw and tell me the value of pitch-deg
Otherwise, I can't debug and fix the issue
This system is built as a deritive of IT-FBW system which has just revamped, so I can say it works 99% of the time

Kind Regards,
Josh

Hello,

I just tried this nice aircraft and flightgear seg faulted on final with the following message.

failed to load sound buffer:
unsupported WAV encoding
at [path]/Aircraft/KC-137R/Sounds/mk-viii/too-low-gear.wav
for: [path]/Aircraft/KC-137R/Sounds/mk-viii/too-low-gear.wav
ICE default IO error handler doing an exit(), pid = 16384, errno = 32
Segmentation fault

I looked at the too-low-gear.wav file and it doesnt look like a wav on my file system, and neither in git. Hope it can be resolved soon.

Thanks.

That's because the sound file is required for the GPWS to work correctly but we removed the sound in it because it was playing looped every time you approached the ground WITH gear down, so it was quite annoying. That way the sound is there and playing but you can't hear anything. ;)
Hope it explains.
