Announcing a new 747-8

Postby FlorianK » Wed Aug 17, 2016 7:23 pm

Hello there,
some month ago, I started remodelling the 747-8 from tikibar/Grupo FGBR. The old 3D Model ist just too old and undetailed. First I just started modelling new engines, but now I have done the whole exterior model, including wings, fuselage, horizontal and vertical stabilizers and the landing gear. I've also drawn new textures for the whole exterior model. I think the release will be in some weeks. There are still some bugs and the freighter version is not finished.
Take a look at some renderings:

I'm also doing a new pushback. I've chosen the Goldhoder AST1x1360. It is capable of towing big planes, from 767 to A380. Unfortunately it's not finished yet:

The 747 is still not finished and will be released when the freighter is ready.
Regards, Florian :)

+over 9000 ;)
I can only say WOW.
Is there a paint kit in the works and upload the original blend and gimp/photo shop file?
And any plans for redoing the B747-400 and add the F/M/D/747 Large Cargo Freighter Variants of the B747-400?
If Gijs have no problems with redoing the 747-400 model.

Hi, in case you are updating the cockpit too, I give you the yokes I made for this plane 3 years ago

http://www.mediafire.com/download/4w6n7 ... ockpit.rar

They're far from being well optimized but they look okayish.

I don't know wether Gijs is already working on the 747-400. I think I've read somewhere in the forum that he is remodeling the cockpit. I just contact him! Yeah especially the cargo variants of the 744 would be nice!

I made some changes in the FDM. Mostly they are from the new gear. Yes, I planned to do the cockpit!

Wow! Thank you for the model. The yokes look beautiful! I'm gonna implement them when I model the new cockpit.

Good to know! If ever you need new sounds, I kinda edited my 747-8's sound to make it sound more GE-y I could lend it to you :)

Also Just a tip: remove EPR from the engine display. GE engines have not EPR. Just N1 EGT on the upper display.
