This is very true.. ;)

BTW: Did anyone create this instrument yet? I couldn't find it...

It's a "Vertical Card Magnetic Compass" used in the cockpit pictures I found...

Kind regards,

Edit: Nice cockpit in the Super-Frelon.

Absolutely! Very clearly arranged! Nothing that would irritate the pilot..

Regarding "our" modern cockpit: Is it true, that most things have to be done from scratch? If things have to be done from scratch: Is there any kind of tutorial or something, how these things could be done?
The ch53-panel has errors in my installation, the "flat panels" are white...

As far as rotors, yet you can not do much of anything. It's just a slightly modified copy of the rotors SuperFrelon, yet.

the texture is the same. UV Map is not yet done so. So it is impossible to prepare a texture now. With regard to the panel, there is certainly the CH53E which is superb, but requires a great deal of work to be usable.

And I must admit that I would prefer a more modern panel like this one :

So of course, if you feel the courage to make some of the instruments, you're welcome;)

Best regards. Emmanuel

Hmmm...glas cockpit. O.k.- So much as I can see the most instruments we have already (somewhere in all the CVS-folders ;-) ) Unfortunately this image is too small to see all instruments. But when we make this cockpit- please don't forget the ventilators on the floor between the pedals make working! ;-)

Here the aft cockpit:

By the way: even in Germany there were two of them working for a short time: http://www.bayerische-flugzeug-historik ... d9511.html.

Until now only a S-64F has this glas cockpit, not the S-64-E....

Oh ! You right ! Sorry. Also this picture comes from an F also

Of course, it is always possible to keep the details of the chair, for example ;) Only the glass bubble change. Round (left) on the F and flat on E.

Here is the post back of the S64 E :)

So we don't need the modern cockpit? ;)

Placing existing instruments from the data/Aircraft/Instruments-3d folder is something I already figured out. Making them show the data is documented somewhere and I guess I can find out how to do it. There are just some instruments that I couldn't find in this (or other) folders. Like this PAI-700..

A lot to learn, I guess... ;)

Attention many aircraft use their own folder of instruments.

data/Aircraft/Instruments-3d folder is designed for generic instruments. Those who find a little bit everywhere. I prefer (and this is expected as at present) data/Aircraft/AirCrane/Models/Interior/Panel/Instruments floder.

Thanks! I had planned to do it this way, though.. ;)

Hi,

after some fixes to the fdm (I'm not quite happy with, but at least it seems to be reasonable and somewhat realistic), I went on with the firetank.
I try to make it pickupable, which means, there will be a scenario where the firetanks and additional containers are placed, and you can fly to them and pick them up, fly your misson and after that release it or pick another one.

A preview:

I have still some problems to solve.

Unfortunately it don't seem that I can make the load really 100% pickupable due to a bug in the code. Myself can't fix it. So I have to wait. So in the moment it seems that it don't will be possible to start empty and pickup the tank at the next airport . If someone has another solution for that, I would be happy.

I will finish the firetank though and try to make it ususable ( load water, dump water....)
