Also I show 4973 is my last commit 4976 gets a few more for other aircraft.
Thanks wkitty42 for the help and verification that it is working.

So what we know to date is...

My local repository pushes and pulls from upstream
I can pull a new copy using https svn
wkitty42 can download current 4976 zip and install
I can download 4973 (last Cub update) zip and install

I unzipped with xarchiver and file roller but both fail.
I downloaded from

https://sourceforge.net/p/flightgear/fgaddon/HEAD/tree/trunk/Aircraft/

Tomorrow I will try to extract in a different folder.

My copies of Fgaddon on two separate computers are still broken due to this. I can svn update everything as long as I exclude the Cub.

@Alant have you tried deleting the Cub completely and pulling it new?
If it is broke you probably will have to delete it an pull a new copy.

That is what I read and have been trying to imply, you have to get rid of the broken Cub repository.

My local repository pushes and pulls from upstream
I can pull a new copy using https svn
wkitty42 can download current 4976 zip and install
I can download 4973 (last Cub update) zip and install

I did have the same issue and somehow (looking it up on Google) ran some cleanup commands and now can push without pulling a new copy.

I haven't tested updating my original because there is nothing to update. I am the one pushing to the repository.

I'm trying to be clear, I doubt you can try to unzip a snapshot from svn into your existing repository that is broke and expect that to work.

Also,
I unzipped with xarchiver and file roller but both fail.

How did they fail?
They didn't complete the downloading process.
They didn't complete the unzipping process?
They unzipped but the Cub didn't run.
They unzip but didn't clean up the existing SVN repository?

I am asking because I am getting inconsistent replies. SVN update, SVN new pull, and zip pull (non-svn).

See i'm used to updating from sourgeforge this plane but:

Tried to redownload from scratch but nothing.

SVN or ZIP?

Yes, I tried deleting the Cub, but it still failed.
I am working with a complete Fgaddon SVN copy.
If I SVN update all aircraft except the Cub there is no error.
SVN clean all aircraft except the Cub is also OK.
The SVN database entry for stec-55x\aux.jpg seems to be the problem.
To be clrat, I am not using git here, just SVN on Fgaddon.
This is what I get with Tortoise Git update fgaddon.

Command: Update
Updating: C:\FlightGear\fgaddon from http://svn.code.sf.net/p/flightgear/fgaddon/trunk
Error: Can't stat
Error: 'C:\FlightGear\fgaddon\Aircraft\J3Cub\Models\Interior\stec-55x\aux.jpg':
Error: Access is denied.
Completed!:

@Alant see if you can update or get new now (r4977). I deleted the file aux.jpg. If you can successfully update or get new now, I will push a new version of that file and see if it fixes everything. Let me know when you try.

OK here as well.
I sugest that when you restore the file it is given a new name. This may help avoid problems for other isers.
Thanks

Good, thanks for verifying. I just push to all repositories the replacement. It is a different name and file type to be safe. I feel like we should be using jpg's for textures do to their small sizes, thus aux.jpg. But in this case I switched back to the standard png and named it to switches.png.
Hope it still works after pulling this new file.

I was just following this thread. Using windows device names is recipe for disaster (or mobbing if intentional).
Code: Select all
CON, PRN, AUX, NUL, COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4, COM5, COM6, COM7, COM8, COM9, LPT1, LPT2, LPT3, LPT4, LPT5, LPT6, LPT7, LPT8, and LPT9

All these cannot be used for filenames regardless of the ending. In Unix device names can only appear under /dev/ but in Windows (CP/M) anywhere.

Well I'll be!
Thanks for the info. That's something I used to have to worry about 30 years ago.

Now that you mention it, I actually remember at least one other case, way back on this forum. And indeed, it took me some time to trace it back, but here it is: viewtopic.php?p=5351#p5351 (if you read the posts before that, you can see the confusion before the issue was determined).

Oh what a joy :-)

Keep me away from the WIKI. I was looking up some information about variant configuration for the PA-18 and saw 125 hp Lycoming O-290-D piston engine, either wood or metal controllable-pitch propeller.
If anyone comes across an interior shot showing the panel, specifically the prop pitch control", please post it here.
