I apologize KL-666

Maybe you want to give it a try again.
I know it is still not at your level, but

1. Work has been done in the FDM by JWocky
2. Soitanen will look more into the FDM
3. I installed a brand new 3d cockpit [disclaimer: It is more an steal from Mark's 707 with adaptations to fit the cabin!]
4. JWocky and Lego(?) placed some instruments there
5. Gilbert and I are looking forward to improve texture of the cockpit.
6. Autopilot in the cockpit is in the near future.

  :(

I can't wait to test this plane. But to do so i really need at least the pfd instruments and some navigational instruments with dme. A functional autopilot would be nice to have. But i do not need the route manager.

Kind regards, Vincent

Instruments: It has a few analogs. (727-230ADV for a test bed) ==not PFDs==

Autopilot: I join you in the yearning.

I did the BAE's starter instrumnents actually. And I did a livery or two on this 727.
Yeah, its analog not PFD. Jist like he 707.

Come on guys, do not play games on the word pfd. It is just one word for speed/horizon/height/vert. speed. No need to get difficult about that.

Kind regards, Vincent

oh ok. I believe it has all of those already.

In fact, the PFD as I see it is a "Primary Flight Display" - a more correct word would be flight instruments or sixpack or something like that.
Feel free to use PFD if you want :P

In that case i would choose "Primary Flight Instruments". But i like to abbreviate, and in that case people understand pfd better than pfi.

[edit]
And btw, i said "pfd instruments" to mean the instruments in any form. Not necessarily meaning glass.

yes. I got you now. I just clarified, what the equipment has installed ;)
We were meaning the same. It's just that some threads above someone proposed a glass cockpit for the 727 (737style). I just wanted to be specific. That's all.

Well KL-666, aside from the fact that there are new engine instruments, AI, VSI, mach speed indicator, compass, a complete new dashboard, the overhead is started, but not far progressed, and we have already surface for the engineer's panel, so this will come at some point as well. Say, twenty instruments are in, some more to come.

Soitanen, I had to take the positions for the engines from the original Yasim and had to recalculate them because I was in a hurry for JSBSIM. So it was a case of "better but not good yet". If you touch that, you may want to check also the x of the wings ...

2Jabberwocky: I start to re-check and alogn all coordinates, including gears, engines, mean aeodynamic chord, cg position and so on. With my last attempt to takeoff with current JSBSim FDM I was unable to perform rotation, but aircraft flies normally after takeoff. I'll beat this problem.

Well, look at weight and engine power in the real one. You need some flaps out to get her off the ground and she is now one you rotate pull the gear and type ]]]]]]]] to get the flaps in all at once ;-) She is, compared to the engines rather heavy. I flew her in the last USA Tour leg, she is nice and relaible if you treat her well. If not, she can be itchy.

I have good aerodynamics understanding, and rotation on real aircraft can be done without flaps. After that aircraft just will not go up and tailstrike will occur. Current situation in FDM is due to wrong relationship between main landing gear position and center of gravity. In my local copy of 727 I already have fixed that, soon it will go to pull request.

well guys, i'm so sorry for my huge delay, but i more else than an airsimmer i'm also a violin player, and i had a very important exam for trying to enter to an orchestra and didn't have much time for FlightGear.

But, I FINALLY FINISHED MY FIRST 727 LIVERY!

this is the Vasp PP-SNG, that is somewhat famous because of the flight VP169, in which the capitain Gerson Maciel de Brito claimed that the plane has been "scorted" by an UFO for more than half of the flight 'till it landed in SBGL.

Also, do you prefer i send this directly to Github or do you think it's better to send it into the Livery database?

looks awesome :D

Do you want to give me your github account so you can upload it?
Can you also upload the sources to the sources repo? .xcf I guess

Finally, I don't know whether upload it or not to the database. We had not upload any other of the liveries either.

I am sure I will not be uploading my liveries. Ultimately, the decision of uploading your own is up to you ;)
