Awesome.
BTW, I suggest you go ahead and paint it on the grey color on the Astrojet. Using your paint, I will locate the bumpmap deep.

Okay, so AAL Astrojet is done and pushed (I also created that painted part so you can update the bump map later). Images:

Has any work been done on the 3D cockpit yet?

Thank you so much, Israel. I had a couple of free hours on my hand tonight, so I decided to have some fun with it :)

And here are some comments about our plane in general:

- I have the impression the front wheels are not touching the ground (see pic. 1 on my previous post above)
- Also, the "doors" of the main wheels seem longer than the main wheels themselves! (also pic. 1)
- are these two objects texturized? If not, do you want me to work on them?

All the comments you outlines are correct

I suggest leave new issues, or things get diluted :P --I am minutes away of going for vacation and I 'll be either off line or very intermitent for at least 10 days.

The objects you pointed: Yes. they are texturized... I attempt at it :D

Feel free to bring something much better.

We just began working on it
I recently, after much hard attempts, achieve to implant a new 3d cabin adapted from the 707 to fit the size and looks of the 727.
Now it is to be texturized, but it is a great starting point to begin implating the correct instruments

See:

feel free to jump in :D

Okay, I will open new issues for those comments now. This weekend I will also leave and I probably won't be working with FG stuff until the end of the month :(

Can you please tell me which files are these textures? I would love to have a look at them.

@Israel I see, so you applied this chrome texture to both parts. I think that those parts should be a bit more detailed, see:

Image

What do you think? Can we create individual textures for both parts instead of using the same chrome.png for both?

@Lego

Nice new splash

We have been preparing the code to accept random splash screens. And thus several splash is on the horizon.
The image is great.

We will be creating a template, similar to that of the C172P (basically we'll use their source to better imitate'em :D )
[see any of the C172P splashes to follow the idea here, like where the title goes, the Flightgear in big bold title, etc]

Then, we will be creating images that honor FG well. So full shaders, realistic weathers, all the fireworks...

Finally, we will probably have different aircraft use a different list of splash screens. Example, your image may show for the Freighter 727-230F, but it will not splash up (randomly) for other versions.

This all is work in progress ;) [and as you very well say, things are never "complete"]

Best,

Guys where can I download this? All I can find is 727s with not a very good model and not good cockpit.
