If you can cut and animate the doors, go right ahead

This far I am with cutting them:

I only have too put the other objects back in and animate it, maybe I'll make the winch also a separate object to make it possible to make it selectable.

Stuart,

great videos!

I wonder if you have integrated the filter.xml in your ec145-set.xml ? n2-pct and the IAS trend vector dont show up in your video. Or an effect of the replay?

Also "over the shoulder" view should be configured as "internal" to see the panel in internal views.

Ahh,

and a quick preview. But as I said, engines' TRQ readings are rather unclear at the moment.

I cant remember seeing a filter.xml file???

When your cutting the doors, please try not to break the liveries.

All this will be included in the next public update release.

@StuartC,
I'm not sure if it is an issue on the FGUK site or something else. Even though I am a registered user of the site I went to download the EC-145 updates while not signed in and got the daily download limit exceeded. I'm pretty sure I didn't download anything at all today. It worked fine as soon as I signed in.

If it is a glitch, I figured you may want to know.

Stuart,

this is the status of the MFDs so far (on the top is a photograph of the real thing of course :-)).
Image

(edit)Download current version of the panels from later post.

And this should go in your instruments.xml, its not in the ZIP:

Code: Select all
<!-- Main MFD screens -->

   <model>
     <name>PFD</name>
     <path>Aircraft/Instruments-3d/EUcopter-mfd/EUcopter-fnd.xml</path>
     <offsets>
         <x-m> -2.75</x-m>
         <y-m> 0.25</y-m>
         <z-m> 0.34</z-m>
         <pitch-deg>-14</pitch-deg>
     </offsets>
      </model>

      <model>
   <name>EICAS</name>
   <path>Aircraft/Instruments-3d/EUcopter-mfd/EUcopter-vmd.xml</path>
   <offsets>
      <x-m>-2.75</x-m>
      <y-m>0.035</y-m>
      <z-m>0.34</z-m>
      <pitch-deg>-14</pitch-deg>
   </offsets>
      </model>

   <model>

      <path>Aircraft/Instruments-3d/EUcopter-mfd/EUcopter-fnd.xml</path>
      <offsets>
         <x-m>-2.75</x-m>
         <y-m>-0.277</y-m>
         <z-m>0.34</z-m>
         <pitch-deg>-14</pitch-deg>
      </offsets>
   </model>

This time I have arranged the ZIP a bit better. The "filter.xml" and "mfd.nas" files you need to integrate in your aircraft configuration should be more clear now. The issue with dual engine torque calculation has not fully been resolved. However, I believe my approach is fairly realistic when comparing torque development during engine spool-up with an engine startup tutorial for the AW139 that I found youtube.

Thanks, got it downloaded and will look at it tonight.

I found on the previous version the filters.xml completely disabled any autopilot function.

I see. Please change inclusion of filter.xml either this or that way. Either of them will solve the problem.

Code: Select all
<autopilot n="101">
    <name>Helionix instrumentation drivers</name>
    <path>Aircraft/ec145/Systems/filter.xml</path>
 </autopilot>

Code: Select all
<property-rule n="101">
    <name>Helionix instrumentation drivers</name>
    <path>Aircraft/ec145/Systems/filter.xml</path>
 </property-rule>

Hi Stuart,

great work! I am working on details of the FND at the moment and plan to implement the "master list" (the area below the compass rose displaying caution and warnings) of the FND next.

For this to indicate the same warnings as the CWP does, do we have a common place in the property tree to store operational limits?

What I am looking for is something like:
/engines/limits/temperature-high-degC
or
/rotors/main/limit-rpm

What limit references does your CWP use ?

The CWP uses a basic value from the property tree, like Rotor RPM, warning goes out after the rotor exceeds a value. Its a fairly simple way of doing it.

Hi,

and these limits are currently hardcoded, I understand - right? What about exposing them via properties that are set by the ec145-set.xml file? So that all instruments/elements can access them.
