As the title says ,I would like to ask ,if any of the FG developers is willing to make that beautiful aircraft.

Thanks a lot in advance.

look, do you have some ability with computers(like coding, modeling or such these things)? well, i also feel that FG misses a lot this plane, so i was looking for a good project to start contributing , maybe if you could help me , we could model this aircraft.
what do you think

I could help with the FDM if you are fine with YASIM. Any data anywhere?

@ lomar None of it. That's why I'm asking if anyone of the existing FG developers is interested in developing of this aircraft.

Clipper996 - good info for setting up systems, operating procedures and perhaps some of the cockpit but there is very little flight data in that manual. There is some prop and engine data but more will be needed to setup an FDM.

747sp - actual flight test or wind tunnel data is needed. That web page only has perhaps 5% of what is the minimum for a YASim FDM and less than 1% of what is needed to setup a JSBSim FDM.

It is (only slightly) possible that there may be data for this aircraft on the NASA Technical Reports Server http://data.nasa.gov/nasa-technical-reports-server/. I did a quick search for Lockheed L188 Electra and found a number of papers. I didn't look at them so I don't know if any of them will be useful,

Not at the moment. She is in my list but after 767, 727, MD-10, some changes on my VIP collection and the B52 and I have no idea what else comes up for the USA Tour. So, surely not this year anymore.

This one looks decent:

(Apparently no landing gear though.)

It seems to be the "cleaned up" version of this one: https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/model. ... b94592ceeb

I've also found the making of this model on youtube:

I've send a PM via YouTube to that author so we will see.

So do I've to contact also the guy who "cleaned up" the model? Because he used the model of the Eastern L-188 I think it's not needed or am I wrong?

Good news :D , the author of the Eastern L-188 did agree the use of the model for FlightGear. So we have something to begin with. I'll try to contact also the other author who "cleaned" the model, but if he don't respond I'll use this model and I'll it clean up myself.

[edit]I've tried to clean the Eastern L-188 and seems to be not very hard, so we have a model now.[/edit]

Wow, this is actually pretty cool. Looking forward to seeing the development on this, it's one of my favorite planes (behind the DC-3 of course).
