Is there also a paintkit for Gimp for the EC130 (.svg import doesn't work :( ), I'll would love to make this livery:
Air Zermatt HB-ZAZ
Image
Not a EC130-B4 but a EC130-T2, but the airframe is similar.

If you have the latest version of Inkscape you can save as xcf with layers.

Hello
The Air Zermatt livery was the next on my to do list, but go ahead if you like.

About a real T2 version I am not really in the start box, as this involves many changes in the flight-model parameters and the fm of the EC130 is in control and originating from Heiko (aka HHS).

Let's see what the future will bring.

Addition to last post:
Please consider that adding a new livery to the EC130 requires changes in the configuration dialog and adding a dedicated description file for the specific model.

If I remember right, I already did that and have these additions ready as private copies at the moment.

Will check that when I'm back on my development environment.

Hello Martien

In case you are still interested in doing the Air Zermatt livery ...

I just pushed all necessary additions for adding the HB-ZAZ Air Zermatt version to the ec130 development repository in gitlab :)
Right now it is just a white livery with 4096x2048px in Models/Liveries subdirectory, with the painting-independent texture elements.

Please see the FG-Wiki EC130 page http://wiki.flightgear.org/Eurocopter_EC130_B4 and the development repository link (https://gitlab.com/mhab/ec130) ...

Best would be to create a fork in gitlab, push the new livery and create a merge request when you are done ;-)

Remark: I really recommend to design the livery in 4096x2048 and push it that size to the "Resources" subdirectory.
The 2048x1024 downsized livery would go to the Models/Liveries directory for final release ...

Note: If I don't get news from you, I may start it myself in near future ...

Hello Martien

Wow, this looks very promising. :) :) Very happy to see you got going.

I don't want to discourage you to continue or finish if you have fun to do so.
Earliest I would go for it is around Christmas time and only if you got tired to continue.

Note: I got more input from Heiko (HHS) and would have plenty to work on for a real T2 version and even some more details in existing cockpit.

So thanks for the fine work you invested up to now and let me know your intentions before the upcoming holidays around end of the year.

Thanks again
Mike-DE

EDIT: just pushed a slightly edited version to development repository, see: https://gitlab.com/mhab/ec130/blob/master/Models/Liveries/HB-ZAZ.png

Hello

Holidays allowed some effort and the H130 (EC130 T2) of Air Zermatt is making some good progress.
It is quite a bunch of work, as the H130 comes with quite some modifications, including door changes, ...

See: http://wiki.flightgear.org/File:H130_Air_Zermatt.png

Stay tuned for more ...

B.T.W.: What is necessary in order to embed a image within a post ? I just can't seem to do it, and description within the editor doesn't work ???!!!

@mhab: you have to host the images somewhere on the web and then include the link to it within IMG tags...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

I'm not going to host FG screenshots anywhere else !

When you view the picture in the wiki, click on "original file", and use that address inside img brackets:

Hello

Thanks a lot :-),
seems the link examplereturned by the wiki upload utility is misleading,
as that link doesn't work in general although it claims to do so .

Happy to have a solution

Hello

Work is going on and the exterior should now be complete. The new air intake was more work than expected.
Fun is to fill the heli with passengers ;-) Just click/pick seats ...
You even can fly the heli with Co-Pilot only now ;-)

Image

Several dedicated H130 liveries are available now and new splash screen is there ...

Have fun
