Gear tilting is now working and pushed! They are parallel to the ground on the ground, and parallel to the aircraft in the air, as the real ones are! I implemented this with a Nasal script, that sets the angle-deg based on either inverted pitch-deg, or if the compression is 0, to 0, so the gears are parallel.

commit 4b8836a.

Note: I need to modify the gear position in the FDM, slightly.

I took a look at the modifications you made to the gear positions, and there are some problems. First, all the tires are hanging ~20 cm above the ground (see the picture). I fixed this and pushed it. Second, the main gear tires are 137 cm in diameter, so when you place the centers 80 cm apart, the tires would overlap.

That being said, the gear tilt works really nicely. It looks great. We can probably leave the lateral gear position alone for now because it seems to work anyway.

@tikibar
I didn't have much time to fine tune it, but thanks!

The position is moved because other wise, when the gear was tilted, it would float. Gear 4 and 5 are really not needed, and are not used in the code anyways.

Glad you like it

I do not understand why you put the indentation back the way it was, I cleaned it up, to make it easy to look. I looks messy in my opinion.

Funny... I was wondering why you had gone out of your way to randomize the indentations. Figured it was something weird with whatever text editor you're using.

[edited to be not as rude... sorry]

That was a GIT problem then.

On my side it looked like this:

Strange.

EDIT: I didn't take any offence. No worries :)

Next plans:
More system displays
More realism corrections to PFD, and EAD
Autoland :D (almost done in ITAF, should be able to port it over)

Then I beginn to construct the MD-11 Canvas ND like this:

Well once it's done I hope to put the MD-11 style ND into FGData, like the Boeing and Airbus ones. So you can have it then.

I would like to thank the author of 'MD-11 for the beautiful job done. An article in Italian Flightgear Facebook I have just entered:

That would be jormapaappa1235, tikibar, and myself.

Glad your enjoying this wonderful aircraft!

Remember to rename to MD-11 not MD11! :)

Error:
Yoke button never disengages the A/T. Only the AP. There is a button on the throttles to disengage A/T.

I can fix if you want.

It's set up that way on purpose. On the real aircraft, you can reach down and press the button on the throttles without looking at it. Not so when everything is on a computer screen. If you build a cockpit simulator, you can rig the buttons to work like on the real thing, but for an on-screen simulation, let's not force the pilot to take his eye (and view angle) off the runway on short final. That would also be unrealistic.

You are supposed to leave the A/T on the MD-11...

But OK,
Can you modify it so first push, the AP sound plays endlessly, and AP goes away, then a second push stops the sound, third push makes the A/T go away.

BTW: gear are slightly below ground for me. Looks a little funny.

Note that the whole ND code has been specifically designed around the concept of "styles" - to help support different appearances and aircraft/features, you can basically redefine and customize all elements easily (see the styling docs in the wiki) - besides, it's fairly dumb/simple code that is even accessible to people without much of a programming background.
