Thanks for your hint. Indeed I was using nighty as latest stable was having some bugs (I forget what the bugs were - iirc graph rendering issues etc.) affected me and nighty seemed improved my experience. I will try stable for now and report if there is any findings.

I also encounter same 0 speed issue in latest stable (2019.1.1). I observed that 0 speed issue happens in imported route but not in RM generated route, though I did not deep check if my observation is consistent every time.

Hi Hazuki,

Here's James reply on the issue:

Sidi, please add the following info:
- does the problem occur in 2018.3.5?
- does the problem occur with a nightly build?
- exact steps to reproduce the problem, ideally with the UFO

(If no possible with the UFO, specify the exact aircraft to use, command line options and every sequence to show the problem )

It'll really help if you could provide those information because my time is really... limited (facing Gaokao this year).

Kind regards,
Sidi

Hi Isaak,
Everything custom. Don't revert anything to generic or there will be problems. The FCS is very very very custom.

Hi Josh,

Glad you're back! I was talking about the changes I had applied, not about your work, I'm definitely not touching that ;)

Kind regards,

Isaak

Hi Isaak,
What I meaned, is that if I made a thing use a non-generic thing, it is for a reason ;)

Kind Regards,
Josh

Hello,

Since I'm bogged down with final stages of UV unwrapping and texturing the Airbus, I have done some speed modelling on the B777 to keep all those blender shortcuts from evaporating out of my brain.

I cleaned up the wing so that surfaces actually flush nicely, reduced all those gaps, remodelled the wingtip on the -200 and redone the GE90-115B for the -300ER, also made the vertical stab leading edge actually curved instead of that barn door that was there. This is by no means an overhaul on the same level of the A320, but I will continue to improve here and there as time permits(and it does since I'm on lockdown)

I would prefer not to create a separate repo unless I really have to, so a question is the maintainer interested in integrating those and any further changes?(note: liveries might be broken afterwards, same with animations for some surfaces)

Hi CaptB,

Thanks for your work! Please coordinate your efforts carefully with Lars0817 and Sidi762, since they have been doing a lot of work on the exact same domain lately. You can find our development repo here. If you want I can give you commit access so we can collaborate easier :) If you send me your Sourcefore account I'll add you.

Thanks!

Isaak

@Isaak,

I'll send you the username via PM, mind you those changes are not ready for any master branch since they do break the liveries and the animations.

Also, it would be much easier to coordinate via FG's Discord or a similar service such as mattermost or riot.im, have you guys considered using any?

Thanks.

Awesome to hear this Captain! Some of those modeling errors on the wings really bug me. If you're looking for another one of these small errors to fix up, I believe there may be a problem with the UV mapping of the engine nacelles which prevents texturing, although I'm not totally sure - all I know it they are always white, and last time I tried to apply a normal map they skitzed out.

@Zac

Indeed, but the wing along with the slats have been redesigned already to match more closely the real thing, will have to just double check it quickly with the AMM. The nacelle will need new UV anyway since it's shape also changed to match the real one. Also, it looks like the fan diameter for all engines was the same, and most certainly for the -300ER it was incorrect, so I changed that plus made a new fan and spinner with all the blades for the startup sequence, which then could be replaced with a disc when N1 approaches idle.

Regards

Hi all,

777 development is taking quite a fast pace lately. Make sure to check out the latest version in FGaddon, as it now has the walker implemented! ;)

Quick question!

Is the latest B777 reverse compatible? The reason I'm asking is I switched to MX-Linux and the latest FG version is 2018.3.2 and with the latest aircraft I had major issues when landing with MP on.
What I had to do was install the B-777 via the launcher and everything is working good now, not sure what release date aircraft I have but I'd sure like to use the latest though!
