I could probably redo those textures as GPL'd having the POSKY ones as reference. Let me know.

Hallo Pilots,

thank you for the comments and replies.
The new 777 model (which will be named "Seattle") is under development and testing, and it does progress day by day (Thanks, Hyde!).
It won't be available for a while, and we hope to have a pre-release version (3d Cockpit included) in connection with FG 3.0.
Anyway we'll keep you posted. (I'll post some screenshots in the next future).

I resolved to completely re-paint ALL of the Cockpit Textures by myself (I've developed a Photoshop graphical procedure in order to emulate - somehow - the Boeing Brown material), using original Textures for reference (dimensions and proportions) only. So, Textures will be copyrighted under my name, and free to be used for the 777 project.
The job is long and tedious, but first results are visually nice.
Starting next year (we hope), I will re-model all the fuselage, wings, flight-control surfaces, and so forth; actual FG 777's 3d model (and animations) are not consistent with the true 777.
Then...I will re-paint all the exterior, with a completely new paint-kit.

Thank you, and...stay tuned!

I also want to thank you I-NEMO for the extra effort of making it available to include it in the main GPL repository.

Hallo Fg Pilots,

Greetings from Italy!
Thanks for all the positive comments, which we much appreciate.

The new 777 Project Seattle is proceeding, slowly but steadily toward the first pre-release. Myself and Hyde have been working continuously on the new Cockpit, with great care of details for realism.
We really do hope to have the pre-release available for FG 3.0...
As promised, we enclose some screenshots of the current state of the cockpit:

ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

The OH panel now hosts realistic Switches and Knobs, completely 3d remodeled and animated. Also, the CPT and FO Seats are now more complete with realistic details and with a new (warm!) lambskin. I have added some further details to the Cockpit: 70% of the textures have been re-painted completely (completely new MCP Displays), so to comply with GPL requirements. The Window frame and the two side consoles have still to be re-painted. Hyde is fine-tuning the software side (AP specifically, Controls, and some functions of the MCP)...still a lot of work to be done. That's why we 're talking of a pre-release.

NOTE:
We have applied a new animation to the OHpanel's Switches, which works fine (push down to flush, with simoultaneous top two shutters' opening. To be really realistic, though, we need to have a sort of 'timer', so to stop the push-down action for a bit, and make the Switch spring back to flush position. It's a two movement action: 1. Push down and shutters opening to a fixed position below flush level, then 2. wait a very short time, then 3. the Switch springs back again to flush position.
We have consulted the Forum, FGWiki and so forth, looking for a solution: the fact is that the animation is treated as a no-stop process in .xml, so it seems that no pause may be inserted between two stepped animations of the same object.
We tried Interpolation tables and other stuff: in Animation professional world, a pause command is one of the very basic tool for realism. At the moment, it seems that this tool is missing in FG. Does anybody know how to simply insert a 'pause' in .xml's flow for an object animation?

Regards,

I-NEMO (and HYDE)
