Well, i think there is a middle way. I will try it.

The outer parts are more or less ready. Yesterday I did the gear doors. I also converted a p&w turbofan to look like the rr trent 560:

Is there a download link ready yet?
Whoever came up with airliners should have made them cheaper.

Sorry for the delay in my answer.

I will publish a version of it on the 5 or 6th of January.

I have ended an alpha version of the A340-600HGW.

You can download it in the download section of my blog:

http://andinogonthaeler.wordpress.com/

It is my last project. Flightgear develops too quickly for me. I like the simulator, but the fact that every few months you have a new version of the simulator, makes very difficult for me to develope planes. When a new version of the simulator apears, the just develped plane does not work properly. I cannot keep the pace.

So, I hope that you enjoy this stuff, and I also hope that some people may develope the planes I have done.

Hi Andino,

Sorry to hear you give up developing planes. But it is quite understandable if every half year a new fg version breaks the planes.

Btw, your 707 still flies flawlessly in fg 2.12.

Happy new year, Vincent

When an aircraft no longer works in a new version, it's usually caused by a bug or non-standard configuration. 2.10 aircraft are in general supposed to work fine in 2.12, except for a few minor changes here and there.

Could you indicated what kind of things are broken now? If we don't know about them, there will be no improvements...

Hey, I really like the work you did on the the original. The cockpit is pretty good, but there are still some improvements to be done to the interior modelling, which is still very inefficient as shown by the huge loss in FPS when looking towards the interior. Also there are a few errors in the exterior model, at a few places there are a lot of internal surfaces (which are invisible) visible. This is most obvious around the flaps and the ailerons, I have not looked for it in any other locations, but these were the ones that stuck out.

Also, I think there could be some small refinements done to the FDM. When I first took off the plane veered sharply to the right when I rotated, but there was no sidewind to cause that. Lastly, the roaring sound of the engines gets pretty annoying in cruise, from my experience that sound only occurs when the aircraft is moving slowly through the air. Maybe it should be reduced as airspeed increases.

If you want I can spend some time doing pretty much any of the non-graphical stuff.

Also, I would like to use it to add some Rembrandt lighting, as I have never done that from scratch. That brings to mind, interior cockpit lighting?

Yes you might continue with the work. I won't be working on it in the next weeks or months. Just please let me know when you have something ready.

Hey folks !

I must say, it has become a really great plane so far !!!

It would be sad, if development stops now, but of course I do understand the circumstances …

Maybe you could offer this project to the community, so many developers can add some features and stuff…??

After a few hours of tweaking the weights to be more detailed I seem to have destroyed the FDM... YASim doesn't like it at all.

Here is what I have so far. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1e22HiqZ6TAclBIYmxTSXdrYkE/edit?usp=sharing

Changelog is in the aircraft directory

Hi,

is there a possibility to insert the gears of the A330s to the A340 ?? Anybody knows ??

Meanwhile I´ve made some corrections to the lights.xml, so the lightpositions get more realistic… I will post it here when ready…

I will continue working on this. When you have the lights.xml, please tell me and I will add to a new version. I have done some corrections to the MFD, correcting some bugs.

qhfreddy, have you obtained any results? If so, tell me which one, so we can introduce this in the new version.

To work together, we might need to use git... but so far we can continue sharing in this place.

Well, if there is being worked on this plane, i like to ask a question: When i tested, i could not get vertical speed in the autopilot to work. Can someone take a peek at that?

Kind regards, Vincent
