In addition to the wonderful work made by harbal, the 2000 needed a new HUD, a RWR and new HQ weapons (thanks to ravenclaw_007)

look on page 17 of this topic... about 5 or 6 messages down there's a link to github...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

Very nice plane, I've been testing it a bit with 2020.*
I have various problems with it, the HUD is always frozen, as is the compas, and the central MFD does not display anything, even if I switch it on. The console reports various Nasal errors at initialization and over the course of my tests (I am not familiar with planes, so I may not follow procedures accordingly)

Code: Select all
10.41 [ALRT]:nasal      *** LOADING instrumentation.nas ... ***
10.41 [ALRT]:nasal      Nasal runtime error: setprop() value is not string or number
 10.41 [ALRT]:nasal        at /home/chris/.Aircraft/Mirage-2000/Nasal/instrumentation.nas, line 250
 10.41 [ALRT]:nasal        called from: /home/chris/.Aircraft/Mirage-2000/Nasal/instrumentation.nas, line 257

Code: Select all
Nasal runtime error: No such member: initIns
 36.11 [ALRT]:nasal        at /home/chris/.Aircraft/Mirage-2000/Nasal/m2000-5.nas, line 93

Trying to fire a Air to Ground thing:
Code: Select all
Nasal runtime error: non-objects have no members
 1003.66 [ALRT]:nasal        at /home/chris/.Aircraft/Mirage-2000/Nasal/missile_GroundTargeting.nas, line 438
 1003.66 [ALRT]:nasal        called from: , line 1

I like very much that if you don't remember what key to use to fire a missile "e", and you insist pressing CTRL+e instead, then you get ejected; the plane gives you what you deserved :)

Hi,
Thanks a lot.
I've corrected the fisrt issue on the github version : It was crashing when the magnetic north property was at nil. I couldn't reproduce the issue, but I put a line to prevent it.
The second issue is when calling the instrumentation function that are in the .nas that crashed with the first issue. Should be solved too.

For the third issue, try to click on the terrain before doing something with ground target. By the way this issue does not affect any loop.

Are you flying with FG 2020 ?

I hope you will enjoy your flight.

Best Regards

Hi,
thanks a lot for the rapid fixes, yes I am using 2020.2.0 (current next branch). I've just tried again, and everything now works!

I have even managed to blew up BIKF with a GBU-12... Got the way the ground targeting is working. Is there a keyboard shorcut/cockpit button for "Snipping"?

This plane is superbly stable and smooth, I don't know if this is close to reality but this is real pleasure to be onboard! Congrats guys!

PS: just a thing, I don't know if the missile view is working with 2020.2.0. It seems to change view but from a fix point of view. Does it supposed to be a view onboard the missile?

Cheers,
chris.

Hi all, Hi 5H1N0B11,
First, a big tnx for this perfect upgraded Mirage 2000 !!! A gift for us
Just have to report somethibg seems a bug...
If the single seat version is working perfectly it seems the two-seater isn't working in the last version I've uploaded in your hangar (either with FG 2020.1.1 and 2019.1.2)
Even if you switch on the batteries, the 3 MFDs and the radar stay switched off... I've tried the autostart procedure and it's same. Impossible to start.
Let remember that I speack only of the 2 seats M2000.
Kind regards.

Laurent
