Hmm, development has seemed to have grinded to a unexpected halt.

True. We're waiting for the Canvas Properties 2D drawing API and Camera View so we can create the PFD. :)

Seriously? You stopped all development of the whole plane over a PFD?

It is flyable even without the pfd. There are backup instruments and the startup is quite intuitive. Thanks for this plane guys.

An analogue panel option would be good along with a model change to a j160 :)

I ran into the following issues, I'm using FG 2.12

Code: Select all
FGPropertyManager::GetNode() No node found for fcs/elevator-pos-output
Fatal error (std::string): FGPropertyValue::GetValue() The property fcs/elevator-pos-output does not exist.

The elevator-pos-output property doesn't exist neither does aileron or rudder

I changed it to elevator-cmd-norm for all 3 axis but elevator trim does not seem to work

The rudder also seems weird, front wheel and rudder seem to move correct, taxi is correct, pedals move wrong and flying using rudder is in the wrong direction too

You could work on variations J160, J230 etc

Hi all,

I just downloaded this aircraft but I can't load it on FG. When I try, FG gives me the error

Code: Select all
In file /home/gilberto/.FlightGear/Aircraft/Jabiru-j170/Jabiru-j170.xml: line 178
Could not open file:

Aircraft propulsion element has problems in file /home/gilberto/.FlightGear/Aircraft/Jabiru-j170/Jabiru-j170.xml
Unknown exception in the main loop. Aborting...
Possible cause: No such file or directory

That line 178 is where the engine file "jabiru_2200" is referenced. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

Cheers,
Gilberto

Check for accents in that line? Check the two files exist!

Well, I do have a file jabiru_2200.xml inside the Engine folder, but not a jabiru_2200 (without extension). Also there are no accents in that line.

Try renaming the Engine folder to Engines (appending a S).

Thanks Gijs, that did the trick! But unfortunately the aircraft seems rather incompatible with FG 3.5, now I get the following error:

Code: Select all
Nasal runtime error: bad argument to setprop/getprop path: expected a string
  at /home/gilberto/.FlightGear/addons/Aircraft/Jabiru-j170/Nasal/elec_system.nas, line 171
  called from: /home/gilberto/.FlightGear/addons/Aircraft/Jabiru-j170/Nasal/elec_system.nas, line 229
  called from: /home/gilberto/.FlightGear/addons/Aircraft/Jabiru-j170/Nasal/elec_system.nas, line 230

On top of that, both glass displays are completely black and the avionics switch does not turn them on (maybe related to this elec_system.nas problem above). It's a pity, it's such a pretty plane with such a nice cockpit!
