A Fire truck / emergency crews?

Postby djbacon » Wed May 14, 2008 7:39 pm

Did Anyone Ever Think about Modeling / Makeing The Following:

Firetrucks, (Tankers, Engines, Ladder trucks ect.
Fire planes (For lack of a better term) They swoop the sea, gather water and drop it on a certain fire,
Ambulances.

Ect,

But give them "3d Cockpit" Details too, make them cool,
We have other ground vehicles, my basis on this is, every airport has emergency vehicles on standby.
So Why Shouldnt Flight gear! :)
I Cant make these kinds of things,
but can someone else?

We already got a crashtender (firetruck for airport) and fire-planes (don't know how they're called in real). See http://gallery.flightgear.org.uk/c1483105.html. But they don the crash tender doesn't have a 3d cockpit as far as I know...

Ect,

I have part of that as work in progress here:

Making a realistic simulated fire truck isn't my top priority, though - I'm more interested in the simulation and communication mechanisms needed to make it all work.

No, they are not in FG/CVS yet, but as Curt has expressed interest in having them there it is only a matter of time (mostly for me to polish some of the rough edges..).
