Looks really nice.

It has nothing to do with the aircraft, just the video. Could you re-release it with different audio? The video is not available in Germany due to license issues. Maybe use some license free music or don't use music at all.

I would like to see video of someone doing a good takeoff and landing in this plane, just to see that is possible. I've never been able to do it. :(

Hi,

@Christian: I have updated the video with new audio track. I hope this solve the problem.

@Sealbhach: I will do that ;)

Cheers,

For Sealbach :

This video contain : 1 start procedure + 2 takeoff + 2 landing

Have you tested tutorial for takeoff ?

Cheers,
Clément

I can't do videos but here's a gif of a semi successful stormy crosswind landing, all good fun in a tail dragger

Ha ha, very good gif there gooney. it's mesmerizing. :D

Thanks Clem, I just use a mouse and auto-coordination, I suppose using a joystick and proper rudder control makes it easier.

For tail draggers you do really need a separate rudder control.

I find it quite difficult even with pedals. With all the training for the Spitfire memorial flight I never got as much as one non-crash landing. :?

I have not done as much pattern training with touch-and-go:s as I have done in my favourite planes though, so it probably is jast bad technique on my side...

I know that is not very easy :)
But I never fly with a real DC-3 thus I don't know if our FDM is close to reality. I think the reality is more easier...

If you know somethings about FDM I invite you to improve it ;)

I downloaded this plane and love it!! only problem I have is when I launch the english tutorial 2 for start up it says to set the parking brake and when I do that it says to click the red button, but when I do that it goes right back to set the parking brake. I don't know why it's stuck like that cause when I do the french tutorial it goes straight through the tutorial like the english one should. I don't know if this is only happening to me or cause i'm on a mac or what, but if someone could help me I would be extremely grateful.

hello johnman518,

Yes, I have made an error on the english version, sorry.

To correct the problem, edit the file : Aircraft/Douglas-Dc3/Tutorials/ENstartup.xml

Et replace all the text by this :

Re: Douglas DC-3 C47 - Dual Control

Postby johnman518 » Sun Apr 01, 2012 5:00 am

Hi thanks for fixing the tutorial, but I found another problem. I am using a keyboard on my mac and when I use the rudder controls to turn right is the 0 key and to turn left is the enter key. On the dc3 when I hit the enter key that activates the paratroopers and I can't turn left. How can I turn off the paratroopers control or change it to another key binding.

Hi johnman518,

To turn off the paratroopers shorcuts you need to edit the file : Aircraft/Douglas-DC3/Nasal/dc-3-keyboard.xml
Look at the end of the file and delete from line 66 up to 74 or modify <key="XX"> as you want. (If you know a better shorcut, say it me ;) )

Cheers,
Clément

Thanks so much for fixing that now I can taxi, Quick question what dial or key do you hit to turn on the wipers. I looked in the cockpit and couldn't find anything that said something like wipers
