British Aerospace BAe-146 Series

Postby omega95 » Sun Sep 18, 2011 5:22 pm

I know this plane was being developed and as there was no response from the author, I'm making it again (mainly cuz Sam wants a regional, quiet, efficient jet for AS) but anyway, I'm also creating a video series called "How I make an Aircraft" which is a full tutorial for those who'd like to do that... Anyway, here's some progress on what I've made so far.

This project will probably be continued here as I'm not comfortable/happy with the mindsets of a few people here.

I personally would be really disappointed if you didn't keep posting here! I was this thread would be an "A to Z" example on how to build and get an aircraft onto flightgear. So far it looks fantastic. Please keep posting here!

Eiger, I don't get it! You're a merlion pilot, you're ALWAYS welcome to our forum! Sam, he's the new pilots hubbed at Brisbane...
:D And Eiger, if you're interested to make a plane, I'm creating an A-Z video on it here :D

The only reason I'm here at not at the merlion forum is that it's just easier to come here for everything "flightgear" related, but I will keep watching the merlion forums. Oh and I've subscribed to your youtube channel, will be following after work today :)

Cool, I'm currently uploading no. 5 on the list (2,3 and 4 are not done but you can get to 5 directly) now... And I've changed my project from BAe-146 to an AvroRJX who's model is the same but has a modern Glass cockpit. I'm a larger fan of glass cockpits. :D

Hey Sheldon, do you have Facebook? As your an Australian, and also hubbed at YBBN, YOU can help us decide which routes will be picked up by the 12 (it is twelve, right Omega?) Embraer E-jets.

Remember, if your not happy with Aerosuperb (Merlions Australian, New Zealand and South Pacific division) just tell me ;)

oooooorr you could PM me, but Facebook is easier.

Actually I'm South African and since there's no Saffer Hub I chose an Australian hub since it seemed appropriate, though it'll depend on who wins the RWC this year :) Yup I have facebook, just pm me for link.

Please take that kind of communication to PM, it polutes this nice topic.

@Omega, as long as the Merlion forum is publicly visible I'd guess we need to look there and make our appreciation clear in this topic ;)

I'll probably fly a bit and then model the pedestal and the Mode Control Panel.. I'm still figuring out how to animate those OHpanel switches.. Quite different from normal switches.. They're on off but a rotate might be needed to get the lighting on that right. :|

Mmm, did some more work on the main cockpit panel and pedestal..

Didn't find any good cockpit GPL textures so I've made it myself..

Alright, now which of these do you think will be better for the cockpit light-map?

NOTE - MCP will also be mapped but it's just not done yet.
