Nice videos... But in the start up procedure, you forgot to turn off the ignition switches after the engines started running.

And, Embraer recommends that you turn on the battery switches (BATT1 and/or BATT2) before turning on the APU but it's not absolutely necessary.

ERJ-190, fuel & payload 50 %

FL030 -> FL100 VS set to 3500, IAS 250 kts, measured RoC 500 ft/min
FL100 -> FL180 VS set to 3500, IAS 295 kts, measured RoC 1700 ft/min

For some reason ILS appr failed, after that stall speed was 170 kts with landing configuration.

Yes. Quite simply, the Embraer family is one of the best made aircraft in FlightGear, in almost every detail.

@connect, frankly, I don't think that's very fair to say. (And I'm not comparing to any of my aircraft, which I don't consider very detailed.) The ERJ-170 is missing a lot of features that the state-of-the-art airliners in FG have, such as the 777's PFD and EICAS subsystems, the improved replay system, and little details in the model such as wires in the landing gears (another 772ER feature). That's not even going into the detail that airplanes like the Tu-154b have. And an autopilot system based on the A320 and a CDU from a Boeing aircraft, I don't really think is realistic.

The fact is, a lot happens outside these forums. Exciting developments on the outer fringes of FG, buried in the hours' worth of commits that are pushed into Git daily.

Now, I am in no way berating omega95's work; I'm saying it's a bit arrogant to call this plane "one of the best-made aircraft, in almost every detail."

The AP is NOT based on the A320, I re-wrote a new one after failing to get the A320 AP to work.
