No, I fixed the link. But when I downloaded 2.4.0, it was OK so it must have been a problem with my version of GIT.

Hi, this so far is looking pretty good. I notice it is still in development stages at the moment so i would like to add some input. I don't have vast knowledge of aircraft especially specific aircraft but from planes i have flown, there are key things from them which i like and would like to see all these things put together. As this is still in development, maybe you could consider some of these options?
- Air brakes similar to the 787 which can be used in the air on two or more settings and will automatically work on the ground as well
- Full control of lighting including landing lights, nav lights, beacon, strobe and possibly depending on how much you are developing the interior a seatbelt and no smoking light
- The ability to start the plane in a realistic manner. I mean so you have to start the APU first then engines using the panels rather than the autostart feature all the time. I quote the 787 here which although a simple startup procedure, it is one of my favourite aircraft because of it and feels realistic.
- And finally, the ability to realistically slow the lane down on touchdown to below 60knts (approx) quickly with airbrakes and maybe reverse thrust. One drawback of the 787 is that even at full flaps, speedbrakes and reverse thrust the aircraft doesn't seem to slow down enough without the use of full or gentle gear braking. Having flown recently in a 737-800, I noticd that when the airbrakes are at full extension, the plane will very quickly brake to below around 80knts.

These are only a few things which to me and hopefully others make the aircraft realistic and more interesting to use and to see them in the A310 would be fantastic :)
Thanks for reading them,

Hi AJC,

Thanks for testing this aircraft, but we plan to add the most of these options in the future.
Right now is too early to implement these features, we still have to finish more important things, like the cockpit, FDM, systems, and a few more liveries :)

Yes, we plan to make a few adjustments to the FDM or we may switch to JSBsim.
Did you try to apply full throttle after you landed and applied reverse thrust in 787? else the reverse thrust wont work.

After a stop in the development, and after thinking things... I've decided to rebuild the 3D exterior model. It will be builded totally from scratch with better blueprints, accurate data and applying my most recent knowledge in 3D modelling. Will give a lot of updates during these days.

Stay tunned!

Aha, you just spoke the opposite. There were many youtube videos and some articles I read on simulation and it's claimed that in most sims, airplanes slow down to quick after landing. Usually, say if you land an A320 at about 130 knots, (actual landing speed) it should take quite a while to 70 knots with full speed brakes and reversers where teh autobrakes go down and you can use manual brakes. So in fact, that is NOT A drawback for the 787. It's a drawback for the 737-800 and many other planes. Look, planes should not be able to move in reverse with reverse thrust. In FG, they can and that easily shows that the reversers are too strong.

So, if you want to make it realistic, let it be and don't let it slow down too quick...

As connect said, the model is 100% compatible with 2.4.0. You don't need to edit anything except if you're using 2.0.0 or older version.

What I meant was yes. As the Airbus A310-300 was made for GIT it can be used for v2.4 as they're practically the same. And thats why I haven't moved to v2.4.

Today I started remaking this model, but I noticed that I needed blueprints first. The only ones I've seen are really little. And I need high res blueprints for high res models! Does anyone know any place where I can see high res blueprints? I've searched everywhere, in the Airbus offficial webpage, Google images (who can forget it?!) etc.

Any help will be appreciatted.

Cheers.

How about SmartCockpit? On the page see the A310 section "Aircraft General".

Wow! Thank you very much for the link. Now I know where to go when I can't find good blueprints! :)
