Ok, I have looked at the 767 model in blender, with all respect to the author, the mesh has some problems, lots of unneeded faces ( sometimes covering eachother ) and lacks symmetry where the central fuel tanks are. I might have to redo it all!

I thought I'll post a little update on my 3D model rework for the B763. It's going a bit slower than I thought due to work, kids, VATSIM and such ;) but hey it's progressing still :)

Hi CaptB,
By design, the 767 and 757 have nearly identical cockpits. I am the maintainer of the 757-200, and in the last few days I've been thinking about the 767 and how I have the cockpit that jormapaappa1235 made for it, which is pretty much ready-made for the 767. Would you be interested in collaborating on the 763 work? I can port the cockpit, instruments and systems over from the 752 pretty easily (I think).
Cheers,
John

Quick update, we have a work in progress, but already good looking wing and some of it's elements. Flaps, slats shortly.

Thanks for your interest. At present the B763 is still at the 3D modeling stage as it is redone from scratch.

I am somewhat fond of the old Debian motto "release when ready" and ready here means when the 3D models are completed, textured and animated and the aircraft is flyable and able to conduct at least a VOR to VOR flight with a precision and non precision approach. Since I am the only one working on it at the moment I would not expect it all to happen very quickly ;)

You can follow the development on the wordpress site in my signature.

Hello!
I like this plane a lot as manh people do. I downloaded it and saw that the cockpit is a bid "old". Can I give you a suggestion? You could merge the 757-200 updated version cockpit with some upgrades for the 767. I know it's not easy, but still better I think...
Best regards

Vladimir

Hello, thanks for your interest. The new model is not related to what you can download, it is a totally new model remade from the start. Using of the B757 3D cockpit is not planned but some NASAL/XML might be borrowed since the 763 will also be GPL.

Take care!

I started in the meantime playing around with her (I actually assumed, the project was dead). Takes some time, but I have at the moment a cross-breed between 767-Sentry and KC-46 in testing which is about to get a 787-style cockpit (as mentioned in the KC-X tanker program specification). For the regular 767-300s I think about 757-style cockpits respectively as option 777-style (it appears, some where flightdeck upgraded). I contacted already some of my more 3D talented friends about getting -200 and -400 fuselages.
So ... give me a little time, I got my FlyingWorkshop balanced only yesterday after I found some of my math failures ... and if anybody working on it and wants a working autopilot, JSBSim FDM, any of the PW406x engine files or configurable drogues/boom (for KC-46) or the pancake radar (for 767-Sentry as flown by the Japanese), I will be happy to sent you the files.

I did a quick and dirty porting of the 757 cockpit into the existing 767-300 a couple of weeks ago, which I'll share with you here. To use it, you will have to have the 757-200 installed too, as there are many dependencies. There are some things that don't work right, the right side DME for example.

It's kind of like a work in progress, without the progress part. I wanted to try porting the cockpit over, but between the lousy FDM and poor exterior animations, the workload of getting it up to speed was too much for a little weekend project. That's probably why CaptB started from scratch. But, if you can find some enjoyment out of this little trainwreck, please do!
