Oh dear, ok, sorry.
Thought I can trust a museum as a research community

Look at illustration 3, might give a good layout to the cockpit but a bit blurry

Thanks Simon. Already had that too :(...
seems to me there are only so much l-10 pics on the net :(.. We keep on finding the same.

I'll keep working with what I have, and with a bit of luck and time, come May, I'll take a closer look at the one in the Oakland Aviation Museum.

In the meantime, as usual, every bit of info is welcomed.

I just found that picture here:
http://cdn-www.airliners.net/aviation-p ... 264757.jpg
Tagged as:
More: Trans-Canada Air Lines - TCA (Air Canada)
More: Lockheed 10A Electra

But it looks some kind of modern to me :?
Also the cockpit differs to the ones posted before...

Missed that you have a bunch of photos of CF-TCC already, so you might have this picture as well.

Thanks, missed this one. From what I understand they were "forced" by the regulations to upgrade the equipment, in order to keep her airworthy.

From cabin to cockpit:

cockpit:

The photos are not that good, but if you want to model the cabin too

Strange, there's the "CESSNA" on the rudder pedals too, altough it's tagged as a Electra 10A again...

Of course I want to model the cabin too ;).
That cockpit looks remarcably similar to the one you posted earlier. It looks to me as they've used spare parts from other planes in that cockpit. So the tagging was correct on the museum photo... But their beech-18's tagged as L-10 definitely wasn't :P.

There is this PDF document of Hughes doing his round the world attempt, not sure what aircraft the cockpit is from but it does list every single instrument on there (if you can read it lol)

Thanks Marschi, already got those ;). I hope I can get the cabin looking like that ;).
Apparently that's a Super Electra (L-14), Simon. Still in the family though :).

You picked a tough one to find details for Emilian but I enjoy the challenge of trying to find info on this bird :D apparently it is that rare that in the film they cheated and used the Model 12 not 10 tut tut tut anyway I have to go to work now, we have an aerospace department at the university I work at so I will go and see if they have anything that can help

Okay, I searched all my known sources now.
If something more comes into my mind, I'll do another search.

(...)but I enjoy the challenge of trying to find info on this bird

Yeah, me too :D

Yup. I thought that with it being so famous they'd have more info :P. Only found out how scarce the info is when actualy starting the research ;).
Not as tough as for the IAR though ;). Only there the problem wasn't the model itself, but engine and airplane performance data.
