That one with Earhart's cockpit (transimter key one)is a great find, just what I needed. Now if only there was one from the oposite angle ;). Thanks.

OK. Basic cabin layout is almost completed.
Just some details still to do, and texturing.. and then it's off to the killer...

With a decent cockpit this could be one of the most useful aircraft FlightGear has, great to just jump in and go but also great fun for seriously planned flights.
I'm really looking forward to its release.

I'm going to have some information for you later Emilian, how good it will be I don't know but it may help with instrument placing and what each one is, fingers crossed

Hi emilian, i saw a book the other day called the lockheed twins, apparently it has a massive amount of info on the model 10........but the price is a staggering £80! So i found who published the book here in the uk and sent off an email and got a couple of quick replies. They actually said that the book doesnt contain cockpit pictures of the model 10, the other mail said they have passed my enquiry on to someone else to see if they can help and they gave me the authors private email so Im going to send him one and hope he will have some photos. Im enjoying this search too much now lol

That sounds like great news. Still keeping my fingers crossed for a positive answer from the author then. :)

Bad news Im afraid Emilian, got a reply back from the author of the book but he doesnt have any cockpit photos, the model 10 is the only lockheed he hasnt been in, he also said that getting a manual for it is like gold dust and are very very expensive. He did give me another lead but i had already tried it earlier and they wanted to charge me for any photos that they sent so that was a dead end straight away. Sorry about that mate

Eh, that happens from time to time :(. Luckily I was able to get some details from those nice photos on the Purdue Archives... And I have a basic description of the layout from the review in "Flight" magazine in 1937 (when BA received their L-10a's). So for a start I think it will do. If more info surfaces I'll make aditional changes, improvements as I go :).
Thanks for your effort anyways, Simon (and the others), it's really motivating ;).

They would only give me a price when they find the pictures i wanted, i wasnt allowed to view the pictures before hand in case i just copied them. So I couldnt say how good they will be. I know they have a model 10 hanging from the ceiling but they were really quite rude when i enquired about it. The best bet now is to ask a private owner If he could offer pictures, their model 10 will more than likely have an updated cockpit but might still be able to shed some light on what the cockpit used to be like.

Progress report :P:

Just need to add a couple of details to the textures, like folds on the "courtains" and some seams to the seats.
