Thanks, that looks just like the pic of the cockpit from Flight magazine. (Luckily Brett gave me one just a little bit bigger :P).

Error I get is :
Code: Select all
Failed to load file: "L10-Interior.xml"

Did this ever get finished? Doesn't seem to be a new push for over a year.

Beautiful 3D work, BTW. Can't get the acft. to load but I have used the cockpit object as a starting point for an interior for the free Electra models available for X-Plane. Hope you don't mind.

Thanks. I've been slowly developing this further. There will be some updates this summer. No problem whatsoever as long as you're releasing them under a gpl2 compatible licence.

As for the failure to load I'll need a bit more info. Is the file actualy there?
It should be under Aircraft/Lockheed-L10-Electra/Models/L10-Interior.xml

No release planned any time soon. Would need to clear that with the designers of the X-Plane models as well. Lots of work to do on animations etc.

Screen shot if anyone is interested:

Well, I was trying it on my laptop: just noticed that has FGFS v2.0, so there's the problem.
Loads fine on this desktop machine under 2.4. Fuselage is transparent though.

Really hope you find time to finish this. It will be one of Flightgear's best planes.

Sorry for raising the dead, but I couldn't find no Electra anywhere! Is it gone for good, or is it just in hiding somewhere, I didn't suspect?

A copy can be found in Longfly's aircraft list.

Thx a lot!. Looks quite old, no updates since 2011... I wonder if this is the latest version - I guess not... But at least it's better than nothing! Thx again!

Edit:
Many nice exots crawling around there... (X-Wing, Daedalus, Shuttlecrafts, Trucks, cars, motörbikes...)

Tried it from that link,it looks good, but not much interior.
Also I couldn't get it to start. Fuel on, mags on, hit "s", and it starts but then quits.

EDIT:Got it to fly.
( I forgot the mixture )

"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."
