Pilatus PC-9M Reinvented

Postby pjedvaj » Wed Dec 08, 2010 4:05 pm

I'm opening a new topic on PC-9 because I'm making a completely new package that will replace the old one. First package is now obsolete and won't be updated any more. New Pilatus will only be a M-version from Wings of storm aerobatic team.

High-Poly 3D model
Photorealistic textures
Full 3D cockpit with original instruments
Enhanced FDM and systems (more realistic)

Now that I really like! a great aircraft that deserves a decent model in FlightGear. I'm a huge Pilatus fan and this will definitely be going in my hangar when its done, please keep us updated.

Looks really so very good.

I saw one fly overhead me yesterday, what a lovely sound.
Do you have a soundset? I have a P&W PT6-A soundset, originally designed for a FSX project that never happened, that I'd be willing to adapt and release as GPL if you were interested.

I don't have a original soundset for PC-9, I've planned to visit an Croatian AF airshow yesterday (but I couldnt go) and ask the pilots to record it and take some photos of cockpit. :( Having your soundset would be great because I need all materials to be licensed in GPL. You can contact me on PM for my E-Mail adress. Thanks again! :D

Bingo! Maya 2011 Trial:)
For me it's a matter of tradition, I've started with Maya 8.5 PLE but I'm learning Blender 2.5 and I'll switch when they release the final version.

I really second that! :D

Also nice to see a speed brake. It will be of good use on those short finals...

I've managed to buy a new machine and the aircraft is now progressing much better...

Livery; I still didn't decide will I use the normal map effect or just plain texture:

Cockpit; old instruments are implemented, untill I make a new ones:
